I HAD TROUBLE sleeping. I got about three hours in, not because i was uncomfortable or anything but because i was excited! today's the day for the adventure! i picked up my phone from my nightstand and looked at the time, 7:45 am it read. we'll be leaving around 10:30 or so, so i have plenty of time to get ready. i got up, feeling energy and excitement rushing through me i was jumping all over the place almost falling face flat on the floor but i composed myself and went inside the bathroom. i played one of my playlists which consisted of r&b. i turned on the shower and got in, i did my normal routine feeling the lukewarm water hit against my skin while humming along with one of the songs that were playing, i got out doing the rest of my morning routine which was just brushing my teeth and washing my face. i got changed into a black tank top and a pair of shorts, like c'mon we're in the middle of summer in mexico. i did some minimal makeup since i'll probably sweat it off later, but put some sunscreen before all that and on my body, i put my hair in a ponytail letting my side hairs out to not make my face frame look weird. i grabbed a pair of sandals and a jacket for later, tying it around my waist.

i grabbed my belongings putting it in my tote bag and checked my phone, 8:45..not too bad i just spent an hour getting ready. i walked down the stairs and went in the kitchen to see if niccolo & sasha needed help with anything. laughter were heard as i got closer, i recognized them

"you guys can stop the teasing now, yknow?"

armin?

i rested my shoulder on the door frame, crossing my arms waiting for them to notice and to catch what they were teasing armin about. maybe i can tease him too hah. not going to lie, i felt pretty good in my outfit, it's basic, but still frames my body well. i shifted, though they seem to hear the sound of the door creak and all faced me, armin's face being as red as ever.

"shit armin, are you okay?"

"uh, yeah! don't worry, i'm actually more than okay! i'm ecstatic, today's the day!"

i smiled at his remark, "it is! i can't wait!"

"enough subject changing! armin, care to tell y/n as to why your face is red."

his face was now bloodshot red, how is that even possible

"uh-"

"so niccolo and i were teasing armin about how he wouldn't stop talking about y-"

"yams!! talking about yams! yams sure are good, they're really good on protein and just a good tuber vegetable!" armin said nodding his head furiously, an awkward smile plastered on his face.
