A COUPLE DAYS passed since our discovery. we've been spending it pretty calmly at our summer home and taking things easy. armin on the other hand has been helping my dad out like crazy, writing on his note pad as if his life depended on it and running errands for him. he didn't have to, but he insisted. he's been overworking himself and i'm worried for him, he needs to know his limits.

i woke up around 10 and went downstairs for the usual breakfast routine, armin was the first one there..again. ever since our adventure day, we've only had small talk; nice weather, small jokes, how's our day/night been, list goes on. he had a white tank and a pair of black gym shorts on. he's usually dressed, so that must mean he doesn't have anything to do today, which is great he finally gets to rest. he also looked good, god damn.

i sat at my usual chair next to him and glanced over at him, he was reading a book and sipping on a capri sun. from what i've noticed, when he's working or reading he doesn't seem to notice his surroundings, so he must've not felt my presence yet. i quietly giggled to myself at that fact and stared at him for a bit until i felt like a creep and looked around the scenery, the birds chirping with the distant sound of waves clashing in the back and armin's light humming made my morning 10x better. i heard a light smack of a book closing and armin let out a gasp.

"oh hey, y/n! i didn't notice you there, sorry." armin said with a smile,

"it's fine blondie, it happens. you looked intrigued, so i didn't want to disturb you. also, capri sun at 10 in the morning?" i didn't mean to tease him, it just came out.

a smirk appeared on his lips.

"starring at a me with lovey dovey eyes at 10 in the morning? wow, y/n. didn't know you were that type of person." he teased back, home boy really took it a step further.

"so you did notice me you liar!" i said burying my face with my hands since i knew it was red as fuck.

he put his hand over his mouth and started laughing, "i'm sorry, you looked so intrigued, i didn't want to disturb you." he said rephrasing the same sentence i said earlier. "i didn't mind though, you looked cute." he smiled.

did this mf just say that or did i hear it wrong.

he looked confident in his comment, though he tried his best not to blush. is he flirting?

i chuckled at his comment, "hm..but if i recall, while i was admiring the morning scenery you were shooting glances at me from the corner of your eyes when you were reading your book, armin. don't think you were serenading me with that humming of yours." i tried to sound as confident as possible, holding in my laugh as hard as i can. his cheeks grew red and started saying gibberish. i let out my laugh, which he joined right after.
to be honest, small talk was getting morning so i'm glad we went back to our old conversations.
