Y/N: Your name
Warnings: Swearing (duh)
[Y/N's POV]:
"WAKE UP Y/N!" my brother yelled. "AH! WHAT THE HELL JASON!?" I screamed back. "We have to go to school today. So get the fuck up and get dressed. I'll be waiting," Jason said. I was so done with him! He had to yell at my face just to wake me up? I'm not that pathetic. I groggily got up and went to my bathroom to take a quick shower. It was refreshing and took my mind off the fact that I had to interact with people today.
"Ugh. Why do I have to go to school? It's so annoying," I complained. I can tell you that being the new kid at school isn't fun. And it gets even worse when you have to transfer to different schools frequently. I finished up drying myself and chose a purple t-shirt and some black jeans. I ran downstairs and took my trench coat. "Are you done yet, Y/N?" Jason asked me. "Yeah, I just need to get a few things." I took my pocket knife, it made me feel safe.
Jason looks back at me as I left the house. "Why do girls take so long to change?" he teased. "Shut up, Jason." "Don't 'shut up, Jason' me," Jason says threateningly. "I'm sorry." I looked away from him and told him that I was taking the bus today. It seemed like he didn't care anyway. I waited until I saw the familiar yellow color of the school bus. The doors opened and I stepped inside. I looked around until I saw a free seat.
"Hey, can I sit here?" I asked the girl wearing a pink sweater with a unicorn on it. "Yeah, sure!" the innocent girl said. She seemed nice. She then asked if I wanted to be friends. "That would be nice," I say, not wanting to hurt her feelings. "Oh! I'm sorry, I never asked what your name was," she said. "Y/N, yours?" "Martha."
We soon arrived at the school and I saw my brother going inside the entrance. I wanted to avoid him at all costs. I had to say goodbye to Martha because I was getting a tour of the school from a person called Veronica Sawyer. I waited for this "Veronica" person. I didn't see anyone try to approach me so I decided to go to the bathroom to fix myself for a bit. What I didn't know is that I'd meet the most popular people in the school, the Heathers.
"Blegh!" "Ugh. Heather, bulimia is sooo 87." I walked into the girls' bathroom to see 4 color-coded girls. One red, one green, one yellow, and one blue. I didn't care that they were staring at me as I walked to the green girl. I took her brown hair and held it up a little so that her hair wouldn't get into her vomit. The brunette was confused for a bit but then blushed. Everyone was quiet, the sounds of vomiting being the only thing making a sound. After the green girl finished vomiting, I let her hair go.
"Who are you?" The red girl questioned. "The new kid. By the way, why didn't you help your friend over there?" I answered. The red girl looked mad at me. "It's not your business. Okay? Since you're new, I'll give you a pass." I noticed she was putting on some lipstick and the red lipstick she had in her hand didn't match the shade of red she was wearing. I then remembered that I had red lipstick in my pocket, a gift from a friend of mine.
"That red-colored lipstick doesn't match you. Here, why don't you try this?" I grabbed the lipstick out of one of the hidden pockets of my trench coat and offered it to her. "No, ew, you probably already used it." the red girl said. "Hmm, okay then," I smirked. I put the lipstick on my lips. "Why are you smiling-" I cut her off by kissing her on the lips, being careful that I don't miss her lips. "There, now you have lipstick on that matches the shade of your blazer."
Blush spread like wildfire around her face. "Y-you shouldn't have done that." the blue-green eyed girl stammered. "Seemed like you liked it though," I replied. The yellow one stepped between us and said, "Hi, uh, I'm Heather McNamara. That's Heather Chandler and Heather Duke. That blue one over there is Veronica." "Interesting..." I said. Veronica then said, "It's easier to call them Red, Duke, and Mac." I said that I'd call them whatever I felt like calling, and I got some eye-rolls and glare from Chandler.
"Who are you? What's your name?" Asked Chandler. "Y/N, Y/N Dean," I replied. "As in 'Big Bud Dean'?" "Yes." Mac then spoke up. "You look really pretty." "Thanks, you look pretty too." I smiled. The blonde blushed and looked away. The other girls agreed and said that we're going to go shopping. "Wait, but I need a tour from-" "Shush," Red put her finger on my lips. "We're going to make you beautiful."
~Time skip~
[Back at school]
It was lunch and I was wearing similar things as the rest of the Heathers, except for the fact that I was wearing purple. The Heathers decided to reveal me to the rest of the high school. "Don't worry, just stand confidently and look forward," Veronica said. "Yeah, also, Ram and Kurt are pretty popular, It'd be good for your reputation if you were close to them," Chandler said. I did as Veronica told and kept Chandler's tip in mind. I passed my Martha and gave her a sad smile, trying to showcase that I didn't want to do this but I had to if I wanted to stay alive. She seemed fine with it and returned that same smile, trying to convey that she understood.
Two jocks called Ram and Kurt approached us. "Who's the new addition?" Ram asked, giving me a flirtatious look. "Y/N Dean." Chandler proudly replied as if she was a kid showing off her new toy to the other kids. "Well isn't she a pretty one?" Kurt asked.
Ram put his hand on my waist and pulled me closer. "Oh! You're excited." I said seductively. Ram smiled and pulled me even closer. "I'm sorry Ram but we have to go," said the strawberry blonde, venom lacing every word. Red seemed very angry, as did the rest of the Heathers, but they didn't show it as much as the blue-eyed girl seemed. As the jocks walked away, Red's piercing ice blue-green eyes followed them, piercing through their head. If looks could kill, Ram and Kurt would be lying dead on the floor by now.
[Heather Chandler's POV]:
What's going on? What's this feeling of rage building up inside me? I shouldn't be feeling this. I know I said that being involved with Ram and Kurt was good for gaining popularity, but why did I want to kill Ram for touching her. Y/N looked at me, confused why I did that. I gave her a reassuring smile. That was new. This girl is messing with me.
[Heather Duke's POV]:
It was clearly Heather Chandler's first time being jealous. I, on the other hand, was familiar with the feeling. I was jealous of Heather every day. But now I was jealous of Ram. No! I can't be already falling for the girl I just met! But it seems like I already did. I could tell with one glance at the other girls that they were lost in thought, as I was too.
[Heather McNamara's POV]:
I was jealous of a guy! Ram of all guys! I didn't want him to hit on her. I liked her. I came to accept long ago that I was bi, and now I'm falling head-over-heels with Y/N. She was so nice. Everyone was so nice to me, how was this different? She seemed so genuine. So, realistic. I think that's what I liked about her.
A/N: Hey, best fronds! Welcome to my book of oneshots! I absolutely love Heathers: The Musical. Especially all of the Heathers since they were basically my gay awakening. So, how y'all doing? This is one of the first fanfictions I've written about the Heathers. So it may be pretty bad. I like to think that I've gotten better after time. I'm welcome to any constructive criticism. I also just realized how many times I've said the word 'red'. You can obviously see that I don't know anything about flirting and being seductive. Anyway, I hope y'all have a great day! ~ A potato
