[Y/N's POV:]

"Hey, Gretch! How are you doing?" I asked, flopping onto my bed. "I'm doing fine, how 'bout you?" I heard her say through the phone. I sighed dramatically as if I had bad news to share. "Oh no, what happened?" "I'M COMING TO NORTHSHORE!!!" I yelled into the phone. My best friend squealed and clapped her hands. "Really?" "Yep! So you'll have to deal with this piece of shit," I joked, motioning to myself even though Gretchen couldn't see me. "Aww, don't say that about yourself," she consoled me.

"Y/N!" My mom called from the kitchen. "I've gotta go, Gretch. I'll see you on Monday, bye!" "Bye!" I ended the call and walked to the kitchen. "Did you get everything for school?" my mom asked. "Yes, mommmmmmmmm!" I groaned. "Did you double-check?" she pushed. "Yes, I did," I confirmed, silently making a mental note to check my school supplies again. "Good, now take a seat, dinner's almost ready."

~Timeskip brought to you by a honking goose (still Y/N's POV)~

I stood outside Northshore High, taking a deep breath. "This is it... First day at Northshore... No going back now." I walked inside and was welcomed to a bustling hallway full of students. I kept walking, looking for my best friend when I bumped into someone. "Oh no! I'm so sorry!" A voice apologized. "My name is Cady! Nice to meet you!" Cady smiled at me with her hand out. "Uh, hi?" I shook her hand awkwardly. "I'm kinda new here so I hope you'll forgive me. I've always been homeschooled," she sheepishly excused. "Same! I mean the new to this school part. I've never been homeschooled. What's it like?" I smiled, intrigued.

"Well, you don't really have the chance to make new friends since it's only your family. But you get to learn in the comfort of your own home! So that's a plus." "Caddy! There you are!" a new girl popped up. "Oh, hey Janis," greeted Cady. "Caddy?" I wondered out loud. "That's what she calls me," Cady explained. "Oh..." I mumbled under my breath. "Ooh! Is this new meat?" another voice joined. "This is Damian, he's almost too gay to function," Janis introduced the boy wearing a flannel.

"Really?!" I was excited to meet another queer person. "Wait-" Damian said, putting a finger on my lips. "If you're homophobic then go and leave. We don't want your kind here." "Wait! I'm actually Y/S," I explained, putting my hands up in surrender. "Oh really? Well then... Welcome to the club!" he hugged me. Tight. I mouthed "help me" to Cady and Janis but all they did was snicker to themselves. Luckily, the bell rang, saving me from almost choking to death. "What class do you have?" Janis asked. "I think I have calculus with Ms. Norbury," I recalled from my memory. "Same! I'll show you to class." Cady took my hand and brought me to Ms. Norbury's classroom. "Hey, you should sit with us during lunch!" Damian called from behind us. "Sure!" I yelled back.

I walked in awkwardly and waved and smiled sheepishly. "Class, this is our newest student, Y/N L/N. I'm Ms. Norbury, your calculus teacher. And these are your fellow students. Say hello, class!" Ms. Norbury introduced. "Hello," the whole class said in a monotone voice. "Take a seat wherever you want. I saw Cady waving at me from the middle. (Okay I don't know if Janis and Damian are in calculus. It's been some time since I've seen the bootleg, okay?) I sat down near them and then class started.

Ms. Norbury taught us math but why listen when you can read fanfiction! I was reading a story when Cady whispered something to me. "Are you even listening?" she asked me. "Uh... Math is hard," I shrugged. She gave me a confused look but ultimately went back to listening. After a few minutes, I heard Cady and some guy talking. "Can I borrow an eraser?" the guy whispered. "I would love to," sighed a lovesick Cady. "Seems like you're distracted too," I teased her. "Shut up," she grumbled. "Hmm... I don't think I will," I smirked.
