Dan and Nate were walking talking about the latest GG news that Olivia Burke was supposed to be attending NYU. That was the rumour anyway.
"How have you never heard of Olivia Burke? Come on. I thought you lived in Brooklyn not a cave." Nate exclaimed
"I think I have heard of her. She's the star of those zombie pirate movies that Rose complains about." dan pointed to his friend
"Vampire Knights and Rose taste in movies haven't expanded beyond what 11 year old?" Nate retorted
"Cause that makes more sense." Dan chuckled shaking his head slightly
"No, the Endless Knights series has made, like a billion dollars. It's King Arthur with vampires. Are you serious right now? No, she play Guinevere. But like, a hot bloodsucking Guinevere." Nate explained
"Well, since I have no idea what she looks like. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for her." The two stopped at a coffee truck "Two coffee's please." he ordered
"Hey, man. I gotta run. I got a 10:00 class. Don't forget to read my paper and say Hi to Rose." Nate told his friend
"Sure, she'll love that." Nate laughed as he walked away
"Two bucks please." Dan went to get his wallet but it wasn't there
"Do you know what I think I forgot my wallet. I'm pretty sure I have change. Hold on a second." Dan searched for the change
"You know what? Here you go." A blonde girl next to him and pays the money.
"No, no. You don't have to do that, please." Dan denied
"Karma. It'll come back to me." The blonde smiled kindly, Dan shrugged and accepted the kind gesture
"Okay, All right. Thank you. That's incredibly nice." Dan grabbed the two cups "I'm Dan." he introduced himself
"I'm Kate."
"Nice to meet you Kate." Dan smiled and they started walking together.
"Late night reading?" Kate questioned pointing at the two cups. Dan laughed and shook his head
"No, No. Uh the second one is for my girlfriend, she get'S out of class in a bit and but he time this reaches her it will be her prefer temp."
"You know how your girlfriend likes coffee?" Kate asked surprised
"Yes, yes I do. mainly because anytime she drinks it it she will crush up her face and curse in French. There a very few things she's very particular about" Kate laughed "So what course are you taking?"
"I've been looking at the course catalogue, and everything seems so interesting. Like Cold war Philosophy and the Bible as literature. The post impressionist movement. I wanna take everything."
"Where did you say you were from again" Dan joked
"Seriously. I had to convince a lot of people to let me come here. I'm determined to take advantage of it."
"She's back? I thought she was getting back tomorrow?" Dan looked ahead hearing his girlfriend. Dan gave her a small wave which she returned "Ok thanks for the head's up sis, Bye." she stopped in front of the two. Dan handed her the coffee.
"Thank you." she kissed him and pulled away.
"Rosie, this is Kate, Kate this is my girlfriend Rosalie." The two shook hands and then took a sip of her coffee.
"Oh perfect. Nice to meet you Kate." Kate phone beeped and she looked at it.
"My stuff just got here. I gotta go move in."
"Okay well, how am I gonna pay you back for these?" Dan motioned to the two coffee cups
"Call it my treat. It was really nice to meet you Dan, you to Rosalie"
"It was nice to meet you too, Kate." Dan nodded and Rosie smiled. The two parted ways

"So who was on the phone?" Dan wondered
"Serena, she gave me a heads up that Lily is back and is looking for me. That's after the fact of trying to deal with the Serena is still here and not at Brown." I sighed "Chuck called her after Sothbey's so..." I shrugged
"So she wants to see you."
"And I am avoiding, the disappointed looks the turning of the cog wheels on what to do with me."
