I was making breakfast for Dan and I when the door opened, I jumped. Rufus, Jenny and Vanessa walked in
"Oh my god." I breathed
"Oh, sorry Rose. I forgot..." I nodded as he mean the living here and me standing here in my silk nightie and robe
"That's okay. Vanessa would you mind?" I asked her holding out the spatula for the eggs "Dan! You're Dad's here, with Vanessa.
"Sure." I went into the bedroom to change and came back out fully dressed.
"What are these?" Rufus questioned looking at the pictures of the brownstone. Dan looked at me as if to say 'what do I say?' I rolled my eyes
"That is my Brownstone. Dan and I were thinking of moving in there next semester. It has plenty of space each of us could have our own office Dan's name could be added to the ownership, if he wanted. Just something we're thinking about." I explain to them
"I thought you wanted to stay here?" Rufus asked his son
"It's an option, we got to talking and we were only thinking about it. Nothing is for certain. How about you two start packing while we have our breakfast." Dan plated up the eggs and bacon as the other two set to work.
"Yes, yes. Lily loves Jefferson Airplane." he packed away his record
"So, Rufus how is married life?" Vanessa questioned
"Well, at the risk of sounding like a man deeply in love each day get's better than the one before." he answered
"Must be. You're packing these welcome back Kotta mugs." Dan pointed to them as they sat on top of the counter. "They'll look great next to Lily's china."
"Yeah, maybe we should hold off on the swethogs."
"In just a few short months, freshman leader Vanessa Abrams has tackled numerous social and environmental issues." I smile
"What is that?" Rufus wondered as Dan was reading out my article that I had written on V.
"Oh it's just a wildly flattering cover story on Vanessa written by Rose in the NYU paper." Dan answered
"It doesn't mean anything." Vanessa denied
"Except that she's a shoo in to give the toast at the Freshman dinner on Parent's weekend." I say with a broad smile
"Dan, can I borrow your muscles?" Jenny asked
"Is that true?" Rufus wondered as Dan went to help Jenny and I went back into the bedroom to do my hair and make up for the day.
"Al right I'll invite her." Dan told them
"Invite who?" I wonder walking back out
"I told them that Olivia was back in town and that the three of us were gonna catch up. Dad invited her along." Dan replied
"Oh, cool." I say
"Awesome. It's gonna be a great night for the Humphrey's. And who knows the Abrams' as well." Rufus beamed
"Meow." there was a mighty screech from Moon
"Oh sorry Moon." Jenny apologised. "I stood on his tail." She admitted and I picked him up petting him and giving him cuddle.

"Olivia, this is so cool." I chime opening my present it was a lotus flower comb "I always wanted one of these but my father thought it foolish. I was one of the rare times he didn't spoil me." she laughed The three of us walked through the street.
"Here let me" Dan took it off me and slid one side of my hair back so it rested there "Beautiful."
"So what are the plans for the weekend?" She wondered
"Well do you want to join us at he Freshman's dinner. Our parents are going to be there." I suggested. We wanted to make her feel as much included as possible.
"Uh, sure. That would be great."
"I'm gonna get us some coffee." I say and head to the truck I ordered three cups then watched as the two talked about the watch he had gotten. He stepped away to take a phone call and she made one as well. I took the coffee's over to her
"Everything okay?"
"Yeah, just a surprise." I handed her coffee and Dan came back
