Thanksgiving time was here once again and the two of us are spending Thanksgiving with the family."I am so excited for thanksgiving." I cheer carrying a bunch of dresses
"Why, it's thanksgiving?" Dan questioned confused to my excitement
"Because something always happens. The Thanksgiving drama thing hits everyone in the face because they're not expecting it. Now which outfit says I'm ready for some drama?" I held up some options.
"Well, I don't think you're getting your wish this year, it's just going to be a small family dinner." I drop my clothes and go over to sit on his lap.
"I love your optimism, I really do. This is the Upper East Side and there is always drama. Expect the unexpected and grab the popcorn. As GG says secrets and lies will out and wishing 24 hours she's spilling all the tea." I give him a quick peck and go back to choosing the outfit.
"I shouldn't look like I'm preparing for something, people always seems to tell that by the way I dress." I mumbled. The door opened and In walked Vanessa.
"Hi. Sorry. I got in a huge fight with my Mom and I didn't sign the form to stay in the dorm over break. Rose can I crash in your apartment for a while?" she asks hopefully.
"Just for proving my point of course you can."
"What point?" she wonders
"Rose, think that there is going to be movie worth Thanksgiving drama this year" Dan told her
"And Dan thinks that nothing will happen, it will be drama free. Case and point. No offence V." she shakes her head
"None taken."
"Okay, I will finish picking out an outfit and then we have some cooking to do." I head to my bag and bring out my keys.
"Make yourself at home." I smile handing them to her. I take my clothes back into the bedroom.

The three of us were cooking, well we sort of were Vanessa was venting out about her mother.
"The she starts lecturing the poor cashier that Thanksgiving is nothing more than a cooprate agenda of the food industry masking as family sentiment." V huffs
"Oh that reminds me if my Dad asks we followed the homemade recipe for his pie crust to the letter." Dan adds.
"I'm sorry for un loading on you two. It's just that since Olivia left I haven't had anyone to vent to." she apologised
"It's fine, shakes things up a bit. Your family venting is quite refreshing." there was a knock on the door.
"Who's that?" Vanessa wondered
"Don't hate me for this." Dan went to open the door and there stood Vanessa's mother. Oh no he didn't, he totally interfered that was so my thing. Meh I'm happy not to do anything for a while
"I'm here." Gabriella declared
"I won't hate you because you'll be dead." Vanessa commented
"Don't be mad at Dan. He was just trying to help." she saw me "Oh, hello. We haven't officially met. I'm Gabriella Abrams, Vanessa's mother." she held out her hand
"Rosalie Bass, but you can call me Rose. It's nice to officially meet you." I shook her hand then stood to one side with Dan.
"Look, I know I don't do holiday's well. But if you give me another chance, I can make it up to you. I called Rufas on the way over here. He said we are welcome to join them." Gabriella told her daughter
"What?" Dan questioned
"We can have the Thanksgiving that you want. What do you say?"
"Okay." Vanessa agreed
"My apartment is downstairs, Vanessa has the keys if you want to make yourself at home." I informed the older woman.
"Oh, you have two apartments?" she questioned
"It's a long story, V why don't you take you Mom downstairs?" I suggested. Vanessa sighed but nodded Gabriella left first.
"I'll give her one last shot. But if it doesn't work I will officially move in for the holidays" she warned is then followed her mother.
