"Hey." Dan made me jump, when he found me at the party. I turned round holding a hand to my chest in fright.
"Don't scare me like that. And hey back" we kissed. I forgot how much I love his kisses, the stress seemed to melt away.
"Humm, I needed that. I'm sorry I've been so busy." I pouted
"No, you are in your element and I love that. Now what's going on?" he wondered taking my waist.
"They're locking down trying there last ditch attempt to boost Tripp. Oh there's Vanessa, she caught the footage of the rescue this morning, she was going to sell it t New York 1." I pointed over to his best friend.
"Hey, hey look." someone called and we surrounded the Tv NY 1 broke the news that this morning's rescue was a hoax and we were all cleared out.
"So, that just happened." Dan commented. I laughed
"Yeah it did."
"Are you gonna report on that?" he wondered
"Of course this is a plot twist, now we have to see who falls on the sword to save face. Tripp himself or someone else." I noted it down
"You sound like your about to write a book or a narrator." he grinned
"Are you kidding the run of the mill story is all well and good but to get something as juicy as this and on my first go. It's legendary." We stepped out and did a walk around. I saw Blair and Serena having a stand off
"uh-oh BFF trouble, again." I comment
"What do you think that's about?" Dan questioned
"Who's need is better in the grand scheme of things." Chuck came over and then he walked away with Blair. Serena pushed Blair and her she went face first into the cake
"Oh!" Dan and I exclaimed

There was a press conference, I watched from the back as Nate got up onto the stage.
"Excuse me. Excuse me." He called everyone to attention "Hi. my name is Nate Archibald. I'm Tripp Vanderbilt's cousin. And I know there's a lot of buzz going around about what happened this morning at the Hudson River. It's saddens me to tell you all that it all being a hoax is true. However, my cousin Tripp Vnaderbuilt had no knowledge of any kind of set up. My cousin is not only the most moral, honest and courageous guy I know, he's still a hero. How do I know this? Because I'm the one who set it up."
"Oh. my. god." I breathed
"Did he?"
"No, Nate's many things but scheming smart is not one of them. He's covering for someone." A while later it was announced that Tripp won the election
"Impressive."
"Well the night is finally over, so why don't we head back, curl up with some popcorn and a movie." Dan suggested pulling me closer.
"That sounds like the best night ever. Come on." We headed home and changed the sat down and watched....
