Chapter Thirty One - Crash

Serena invited me in and dragged a hand through her hair. She then began to pace back and forth as I watched.

"He lied to me Rosie, he said he was with his grandfather but I just spoke to Nate his grandfather is in Bermuda. And then there's Maureen she has something on me to make sure they don't divorce and I'm just a mistress." Serena began to vent.

"Serena, you're not a high schooler anymore, the decisions you make have real consequences. You have someone out there who will love you for who you are, who will be there for you when shit hits the fan and every other cliche you could think of. Tripp isn't that man. He never will be because his Grandfather moulded him into this person who wishes to be free but no never can be." I explain calmly

"What do I do then. I want to have faith in him I want to get through this. But if he's willing to do this to make a deal where nothing changes" she stressed

"You will, just not with him. I suggest you pack your things, take my keys and got to the chopper that is 10 minutes away from here. You can be home within the hour."

"And say nothing to Tripp?"

"I will do that. Trust me, this will be for the best" she nodded and headed up stairs. I called Nate.

"Hey what's going on?"

"I'm at the cottage. Serena is packing  and she will be home within the hour." I told him rubbing my temple "I'm gonna stay behind and end this."

"I'm not far off we'll talk to him together." Nate stated

"No, it's okay. Let's be honest no one does a subtle crazy bitch like yours truly. After all when it comes to things like this. I'm my father's daughter. I will call you later okay?"

"Okay." I closed my phone. Serena came back down

"Go, there is a car  outside to take you to the helicopter . I'm going to have a nice conversation with Tripp." I smile softly

"Don't hurt him." she pleaded

"Oh, S, I've moved on from such volatile tactics i'm much more dangerous when I'm calm. Go ahead." she took the keys off me

"Thank you." she left and I followed her out, watched her get in the car and drive away. It got dark and a car pulled up, Tripp got out.

"Hello, Tripp." I smirked "Welcome home." he ran over

"Where is Serena? What have you done with her?"

"I haven't done anything, you did. Did you really think your little plan would work? you got sloppy and your lies are catching up." I sang tauntingly

"Where is Serena?"

"On her way home, she left so us to could have a little chat. This is what's going to happen you're going to leave Serena alone." I state

"Or what?" I handed him a slip of paper.

"Those are dates which your family thought they had buried. They did a half decent job but a know a man who likes digging. You might recognise some of them." his bravado dropped

"If you don't back off, I know a well respected journalist who will be sent what I've found. They will release such an expose it could make your grandfather blush and several family member ruined including yourself." I walked over so I was toe to toe with him

"Have a nice life." I went to walk away.

"So that's it, you really think you can threaten me and leave?"

"Yes I can. You know why? I learnt from the best, my father told me if your gonna shut something down you look them in the eye and you make sure the damn well know your serious. The default and try to either defy you or wriggle out of it, you don't fault not even for a second. Now today is the anniversary of my father's death I'm going to spend it with my family."

"Walk where in the dark?"

"I have a 'copter 10 minutes from here all i need is a taxi"

"Get in." he told me and I turned on my heal "I will drive you to the helicopter and then I will leave Serena alone. Since you've left me no choice."

"Why would I get in a car with you?"

"Because it's bad enough I've lied to Serena but to let you walk in the dark alone, she would never forgive me."

"She won't anyway. But fine, I will but only because I haven't worn the correct footwear." I reluctantly got in.

-3rd person-

Talking, driving, pleading. A scream, the car swerving to avoid hitting an animal and then a crash.

Tripp woke up and stumbled out of the car he looked back in, there unconscious leaning on a deflated air bag was Rose. Tripp took out his phone.

"Maureen, something terrible's happened. I need help."

Nate arrived and came up on the crash, he got out of the limo to see what was going on. When he got closer he saw Rose on a stretcher.

"Rosie!" he called "What happened?"

"Where's Tripp?" she questioned lazily

"Tripp? He's not here?"

"He was driving." Rose told her friend "Call my mom. Please Nate, call my Mom." she weeped

"Your Mom?"

"Call Lily" Rose was loaded into the back of the ambulance leaving Nate alone near the crashed car he took his phone out and called his cousin

"Tripp, I need to see you right now. You meet me at the hospital or I'm going to the cops" he ended the call and called Lily.

Lily who was at home was about to tell Rufas the truth when her phone rang.

"It's 516 it must be Serena. Hello."

"Mrs Humphrey. It's Nate."

"Nate? Is everything okay?" she asked looking at Rufas confused

"No, it's Rosie she's been in a accident, she heading to the hospital right now. She's asking for you." Lily covered her mouth "Serena should be back in Manhattan right now can you call her and Dan while I try get through to Chuck. I will message which hospital they should be taking her too."

"Yes, Yes of course." Lily grabbed her bag and ended the call "Rosalie's been in a car accident."

"I'll call Dan." Rufus took his phone out and rang his son who was talking with Willa. He answered his phone

"Hey Dad what's up." Rufus told him what happened and he ran out and to Blairs dorm room knocking. Blair opened the door.

"Rose has been in a car accident. Come on."

"What?" she questioned grabbing her things

"I don't know much but we've gotta go." the two were leaving when they bumped into Vanessa

"What's going on."

"I'll explain on the way, come on." Vanessa followed the two. Meanwhile Nate called Chuck

"What, Nate."

"Rose has been in a accident, she's going to Nassau county hospital. "

"I'll be right there." he hung up and changed his destination

Lily had rang Serena who had not long stepped of the helicopter with her bags and heart in hand.

"Mom I'm almost home." she answered her phone

"No, you need to go back. Rose has been in a accident, you can get to her before me. Nate will meet you there okay." Serena's blood ran cold

"Okay." she turned round to the pilot "We're going back take me as close as to the country hospital as possible." The pilot nodded
