They were walking down the streets looking for Hitler's palette and brush. They had managed to journey from the Warehouse to Austria pretty easily. The streets they were walking through were abandoned. Myka, Pete, Ezra, Sabine, Kanan, Hera, and Zeb were the only signs of life in this entire city.
"So where would this thing be?" Ezra asked.
"Follow the Unversed," Kanan said, "wherever they're at their most populated, their source shouldn't be that far."
Almost on cue, dozens of Unversed materialized in front of them. The wielders all summoned their weapons and the Warehouse agents pulled out their strange guns, called Teslas. They began fighting the Unversed and only a few seconds later, they were all destroyed. The wielders dematerialized their weapons and the agents put their Teslas away. They were thicker near a nearby building's entrance. They all went toward the door and entered cautiously. Right in the foyer of the building was the palette and brush, sitting on a desk. Nearby was a person in a bright white hooded coat.
"I was wondering when Keyblade wielders would show up," the person said. He sounded like an old man.
"Well," Kanan said, "we're here now. Wait... who are you?"
The hood turned toward the group. The only thing that they could see in the dark shadow of the hood was a pair of yellow eyes.
"A Heartless?" Ezra asked summoning his keyblade.
"Not likely," Sabine said, summoning her keyblade, "Heartless have no higher function than basic instinct. This thing is just a servant of Darkness."
"Ah," the thing said, "a heart tainted by jealousy. The perfect primer for Darkness to take hold."
"What would I have to be jealous of?" Ezra asked.
"Not you, boy," from beneath the sleeves of the white coat, a white gloved hand pointed at Sabine, "tell me: what do you have to be jealous of in this world?"
"I... I'm not jealous of anything!" Sabine shouted.
She charged the thing, keyblade raised. The thing put up a hand and her keyblade hit an invisible wall. She was sent flying. Ezra quickly leaped to catch her. He did and she shoved herself off of her.
"Oh," the thing said, "so THAT'S what it is. You see him as a rival for something."
Sabine growled at it. Kanan, Hera, and Zeb stepped forward summoning their weapons.
"Stop taunting us," Kanan said, "why are you here? Who are you?"
The thing picked up the palette and brush.
"Objects here become imbued with power through the power of emotions," it said, "some of these are positively powered, but most, like these fine specimens, are negatively powered. However for their power to be displayed, someone must take hold of it."
"So you're using it to summon Unversed?" Zeb asked.
"In a sense. If a human were to hold these, they would gain a silver tongue: being able to persuade anyone, any number of people, to follow them. But they'll lose their humanity and become a sociopath. Such things are of no interest to me. But give a negatively powered item Darkness to fuel it..."
"Unversed will flow from it freely," Hera finished, gaining some clarity.
"Precisely." It turned its attention to the Warehouse agents, "Your containment methods will be of no use here. They will have to lock it away."
A dark corridor opened behind it.
"Until we meet again, warriors of light," it said walking backwards, into it.
