Ezra and Sabine were dodging attacks from Sheev. He would throw an empty staff or snap an empty whip and all too often it would almost pull either one toward the attack. They had attempted casting fire or blizzard attacks, but he would just block them. Because of his attacks, they couldn't get too close. A whip snap sent both of them flying back to the gate.
"You can't keep dodging forever," Sheev taunted, "eventually you'll have to fight me."
"Then fight this!" A familiar voice shouted calling thunder.
Lightning lanced from the sky and hit Sheev. Sabine and Ezra looked at the castle entrance and saw Kanan with his keyblade pointed at the sky, Hera with her wand tightly gripped, and Zeb with his shield summoned. Sheev turned around with rage in his eyes.
"How did you get out!?" He shouted.
"That's for us to know!" Kanan shouted.
"Kanan!" Sabine and Ezra shouted.
As Sheev was facing the three escapees, Sabine used flow-motion to launch herself straight at him. Once she got to him she got a good slash on him. He immediately turned a glaring eye toward her. He slammed an empty staff into her chest, sending her flying. Ezra caught her in mid air.
"You good?" He asked.
She shook her head in mild pain before turning to Ezra with a confident smirk.
"Yeah," she responded, calmly, "now launch me back at him and follow suit."
Ezra grabbed her forearm and threw her at him before dashing at him. Sheev summoned two empty staffs and blocked Sabine's attack but another keyblade slammed into his neck. Sheev brought one of the staffs to Ezra. Before it hit him a shield knocked itself into it. It then froze over and another keyblade shattered it. Sheev leapt away from the massive onslaught of attacks and saw the five get into a battle ready stance. He smiled.
"All five of you in relative sync?" He asked, summoning an empty whip in the hand he no longer held an empty staff in, "Very well then."
He began by snapping his whip at Zeb. Right as it snapped, Hera cast thunder, which he blocked with his staff. Zeb blocked the snap of the whip, and Ezra, Sabine, and Kanan all dashed forward. Sheev pointed his staff in the air and balls of darkness began falling from the sky. The three wielders began rolling out of the way of the balls that were falling. Zeb and Hera began doing the same. Sheev snapped his whip between Ezra and Sabine, but that only allowed them to get airborne and zip their way to him using flow-motion. He recognized the mistake and used his staff to block their attack. Only to be hit with Kanan's keyblade in his stomach. He almost doubled over, but recovered in time to wrap his whip around Kanan. Ezra cast blizzard on the whip, freezing it. Kanan shattered it with his keyblade. Before he could react, Zeb's shield slammed into his side. His empty staff weakened just enough for Ezra and Sabine's keyblades to slice through it and land on both of his collar bones. He reeled over.
"Stop!" Hera cast.
Sheev was frozen in place. Ezra, Sabine, and Kanan all leapt back about twenty feet and ran at Sheev. He tried running through ideas of how he could escape, but until the stop spell had timed out, it was hopeless. Ezra's, Sabine's, and Kanan's keyblades all sliced through him at the same time. The spell finally timed out, and he staggered a couple steps. He felt faint. Felt like he wasn't all there.
"This..." he said, "this... isn't over."
"Yeah it is," Sabine said.
Darkness began evaporating off of him. He clutched his chest and put his hand out to try and grab Ezra. He simply smacked his hand away with his keyblade.
"You could have a life free of the battle of light and darkness," Sheev said, "you could give up the keyblade. If you allow me to--"
"I know what I want," Ezra interrupted, "but a life without these guys," he looked at Kanan, Hera, Zeb, then Sabine, "a life without them is one I couldn't think of now. I don't know if our story will go down in legend like the seven guardians of light, but I do know that I wouldn't trade these guys for a normal life in a thousand years."
Sheev let out a silent screech as he began fading into nothing. After a few seconds it was over. Above them, the clouds began parting into the shape of a keyhole. All three keyblade wielders exchanged a nod and all three of them pointed their keyblades to it. Three beams of light combined to one big beam that locked it. All five finally returned to the G.H.O.S.T.
Inspiration hit.
