Chapter Three
I slid into my seat in class just in time. My unscheduled conversation with Hunter had made me miss the bell. I nearly knocked over a petite blonde on my way over here in my haste. I glance around to see if Hunter was in this class. He wasn't.
I curse myself for the shoot of disappointment I felt when I saw he wasn't here. Why am I this disappointed that he isn't here. I just met him.
A knock at the door sent all eyes towards who had just entered.
"Yes Mr Jackson," My English teacher asked.
"Can a Miss India Flores please come to the Headmasters office, he sent for her straight away."
"Of course, Miss Flores pack up your things."
By this point the entire class was staring at me, as I made my way to the door, my face turning a slight red in colour. I wasn't really used to attention.
I rushed past the messenger, and made my way the Head's office. When I did, a familiar warm voice stopped me in my tracks.
"Did you enjoy the get out of lesson free card?"
"What?"
"Did you like the message that got you out of your lesson?"
"That was you!?"
"Uh... yeah." Hunter smiled, and lifted his feet onto the Heads desk.
"Why?"
"Well, I thought you needed to have a little bit of fun. You seem really bored with your life, Flores."
Who did he think he was? Talking to me like that?
"Excuse me?! One, my name is India. Not Flores. Two, I have a life, and I'm not bored with it. I'll have you know I have lots of fun!"
"Well, if your not having to much crazy fun, would you like to join me on a trip, India."
"A trip where?"
"To the beach."
I don't know why I said my next word. Maybe I was bored, or just plain stupid. I hate the beach!
"Okay."
