Chapter One

I couldn't concentrate. Not when He was staring. Mrs Runn was gabling on about fractions and choosing people who she deemed as "Unparticipating hooligans." I glance at him across the table. I really wish I hadn't. His warm hazel eyes held me in place, made it so I couldn't breath. A fine lock of chestnut hair fell over his eyes, making him wipe it out from them. Not once did he take his eyes of me. Uggh! Why was he so dang beautiful? Why was he staring at me? Me India Flores?

I must admit, I am quite pretty. I'm not one of those girls who fishes for complements or pretends she ugly for attention of the boys. I know I'm attractive, but I'm not arrogant. I don't have that obvious beauty, it is said by my mother that it is subtle. And that makes it more unique and special.

I have sea green eyes that shine when I'm excited, like right now. Or turn dull and lifeless, like when I have maths first on a Monday morning. I normally let my blonde hair hang loose. It falls just past my shoulders. I have a small petite nose and full lips.

I understand that he might be looking at me because I'm pretty, but soon he'll realise why I'm still single after four years of high school. I'm considered a " book nerd." I went to the library everyday since I started here. I guess everyone will forgive his mistake as he is new. Soon he'll know that if he wants to be cool he can't be seen even looking at me.

Suddenly I see him silently laughing and wonder why. Then I see the whole class staring at me. Mrs Runn is looking at me expectantly. "What?" I ask, a confused expression on my face.

"Well if you had been listening, Miss Flores, instead of staring at Mr Daniels you would have realised I asked you a question about halving fractions."

I felt a blush creep up my face as I look down embarrassed. I wonder how long it will take for that one to spread. I can see them all talking now

"Hey did you hear about what happened in maths? Nerdy thought a guy would be interested in her. As if! Especially not a hottie like him!"

As soon as the bell rings for dinner I'm the first out the door and down the stairs towards the library. The sun was shining outside, which meant it was going to be quiet in the library. Just how I liked it!

I sat down on one of the comfy chairs set out and pulled out my book. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It was one of my favourites! Then my jaw dropped open. Walking in the open door, backpack slung on shoulders was hottie boy. And he was heading towards me!

A/N Hey this is my first real Wattpad story I'm going to write so be patient with me young grasshoppers. I hope you enjoy this. I did this on my phone and have no idea how the layout or length will be.
