With Adrian still seething from the days antics he barely spoke to Koda at all. He knew deep down it wasn't the poor boys fault but couldn't help feeling angry and dejected already. A small sliver of of fear crept over the billionaire, what if his friend was right? What if Adrian is going to destroy this young man unintentionally.
After finishing his work Adrian woke koda and took him to the kitchen to eat.
Koda expected some grand fancy kitchen, although this kitchen was spectacular it wasn't big or grand. A little marble countertop island stood in the middle of the square kitchen with a small oven and fridge freezer to one side.
Adrian sat Koda in a grey adult high chair. Wincing at the extreme pain he felt as he was plonked in the high chair yet, Koda said nothing. He could see this man, is angry. That made the boy terrified of another beating. Swiftly, Adrian strapped a light grey plastic tray to the sides of koda's chair efficiently trapping the young man in the seat.
Koda never felt as helpless and low as he did in this exact moment.
Adrian gave his boy a plastic small bowl full of Mac and cheese with veggie sticks on the side, along with a sippy cup full of water.
Koda reluctantly ate the food as he was starving. Thankful Adrian didn't try and force feed him.
Koda somewhat hoped the food would be drugged. Just so he could escape this torturous world. Unfortunately it was not.
Straight after lunch, both men where back in the office. Adrian sat at his desk while Koda sat on the sofa in the corner silently.
After a while Koda got bored, he nearly fell asleep a few times. Every time he tried Adrian would growl his name to wake him up.
As the hours ticked closer to dinner time Adrian finished up his last email.
"Koda" he called his boys name as he stood up stretching his body.
Koda jumped at the sound of his name being called. He looked out to Adrian curiously.
"Let's go get dinner." Adrian stated. He allowed Koda to walk closely behind him as they made their way back to the little kitchen.
Just like lunch time Koda became entrapped in the big chair while they both silently ate dinner. It surprised Koda that Adrian didn't cook any food either time they ate. Food was already plated when they got to the kitchen. With a home like Adrians Koda expected to see staff running the place. He was yet to bump into anyone.
Adrian finished eating way before Koda.
The young boy had a little plastic fork which infuriated him. Everything he tried to pick up and eat with the little fork, fell off before getting to his mouth.
Adrian found this very amusing as he sat back to watch his little baby struggle.
"Do you want papa to help you?" Adrian soothed in a calm tone.
Koda looked up with a frown. He shook his head no silently going back to trying to eat.
Adrian accepted his answer, the man can only hope in time Koda will be begging Adrian to feed him every meal.
"Once you have finished eating, we will be going for a walk. I want to show you all the places you can explore and freely roam when the time comes." Adrian informed the boy.
Koda heard what he said, but didn't answer. This may be an opportunity for Koda to check out his new home for however long. Koda never once planned on staying long, since the first day he woke up in hospital his mind was set. He will be leaving the very first opportunity he gets.
After twenty minutes of Koda struggling with his meal, he gave up. Declaring he was no longer hungry Adrian let him out of the high chair to stand in the kitchen.
"First things first," Adrian began as they started walking through the house downstairs.
"All windows and doors are locked, not only that there are a handful of security around the whole property. You may think you have escaped when you try, but believe me, you wouldn't have." Adrian stopped walking to look at Koda.
Koda looked as if all hope and happiness had been drained from him. He realised Adrian was looking at him so offered a small nod, indicating he understood.
"Very well, this is the back grounds of the house." Adrian continued speaking as they stopped outside large french doors. He unlatched the door, then unlocked it with a key before pulling the door and stepping outside. Koda followed closely behind taking in the view.
They both stood on immaculate wooden decking with beautiful, elegant brunette fencing decorating the edges. To one side of the large deck nestled a magical little porch swing chair with a black shade over it. Grand wooden steps lead down to a slabbed concrete area.
Looking out all Koda could see was beautiful lush green grass which seemed endless. It's late spring, the sky mesmerising shades of ruby red and subtle orange as the sun sets. Exceptional flowerbeds decorated the whole grounds of the grass with little circle patches specifically for small trees and shrubbery.
Adrians grand home seemed to be on a hill as Koda looks out he can see a dip in the greenery on the hill.
Looking at what seems like a hazel coloured barn with fences segregating the fields of grass.
Behind the fences and the massive barn seemed to be an entrance to a woodland area. It made Koda wonder how far Adrians land grows.
"What's... in the barn?" Koda croaks out. His throat feeling dry.
He tentatively walked forward towards the steps.
"Horses. I currently only have five In there but, the barn can hold at least twenty." Adrian tells Koda.
Koda takes in the words. Horses!? Koda has never in his life been face to face with a horse before. He's somewhat scared and excited.
"Can we go and see them?" He asks without thinking.
"No. Not yet." Adrian declares.
"Back inside please." Adrian calls.
Koda was mesmerised, as Adrian approached the door to go inside in the far distance Koda could see someone bringing a horse out of the barn. The horse looked huge. It was either a massive horse or a very small person.
Adrain noticed kodas fascination and smirked at him. Slowly he walked up to Koda and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.
This startled the young boy, he's gasped and shrugged away looking fearful once more.
"Back inside now." Adrain asked smoothly.
Koda avoided the intimidating gaze and shuffled back inside quickly.
They spend the next half an hour looking around the ground floor. Adrian shows his boy the other kitchen where the chef cooks all their meals. Adrian doesn't introduce him to the chef, but the big round man nods at Koda and Adrian as they enter and leave just as quick. He shows him the grand dining room with a twenty seat table which Adrian admits he never has used and probably never will. He shows Koda the two living rooms, one with a beautiful fireplace, the other with a wall mounted large flat screen. Another smaller dining room.
Koda tried to take in every detail he could. It was difficult for him not to be impressed by this home. As a child, growing up in his crummy 2 bed house with his parents with one single restroom was not fun. Koda would dream of living in homes like this one. It made him somewhat bitter the fact that he had the home he could only dream of having except he's being forced to stay in this one. Being forced to do things he'd never imagined. It made the young mans blood run cold thinking about it. Koda tried to shake the thoughts away as Adrian lead him downstairs to the basement.
Koda somewhat expected to see a sex dungeon of some sorts. But, what he saw was far beyond what he could ever imagine.
The whole basement was what could only be described a daycare. As Adrian opened the door brightly coloured walls smacked Koda in the face. All colours of the rainbow with different little characters on each wall looking all happy and merry, the floor was spongy with blue and green checkered foam squares across the whole floor. A fully equipped toy kitchen and little grocery store pretend play area was to one side. Everything looked immaculate and special.
In one area was a home dress up corner with a large chest of dress up clothes. A long mirror stuck on the wall next to a railing full of more dress up outfits.
Another area had two mansion style doll houses, a wooden table with small chairs with pots of crayons and colouring pens on top with colouring books.
Storage units lined an entire wall with mountains of boxes all full of toys inside. Lastly, Koda laid his eyes on a little nook in the far corner with a small tv on the wall surrounded by little shelves of books with lots of colourful pillows, beanbags and blankets."This is where you are going to spend most of your time." Adrian informs the bewildered boy.
That sickening feeling once again crept over kodas body. A shiver running his body cold. Koda closed his eyes and gulped. This can not be real. This can not be real Koda reiterates over and over again in his head.
"Once I get adequate childcare you can come here freely whenever you want." Adrian continues talking.
"Do you want to have a play and look around now before bed? Or see the rest of the house?" Adrian gives him a choice.
Koda barely hears the man over his own heartbeat thumping loudly in his ears.
"Koda?" Adrian calls.
Koda stands there bewildered.
"I... uh..." Koda coughs.
"Why?" The boy looks up to Adrian.
Adrian raised his brow at the question.
"Why have you done all this?" Koda asks.
Adrian doesn't hide the roll of his eyes.
"Maybe you have seen enough for today. Let's go back to your room and get ready for bed." Adrian ignores the question.
As he turns around to go back up the stairs he notices Koda still isn't following him.
"Do you want papa to carry you?" Adrian questions impatiently.
"No..." Koda spoke quietly.
"I don't want you to carry me. I don't want you to touch me. What I want..." Koda spoke so quietly Adrian barely heard him.
"What I want is to understand how a successful man like you got so so fucked up. So messed up in your head to think this is ok." Koda gestures to the daycare room.
"To think it's acceptable to treat people. Treat me like this." Koda looked Adrian in the eyes as he finished his sentence. Tears brimmed in his eyes for the hundredth time that day.
Adrian sighed. He sees the pain in his babies eyes, he sees the pain that he caused. Guilt begins to creep into the billionaire. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before addressing his boy.
"I really, really wish you could have said all of that to me without cursing." Adrian strides forward and grabs Koda.
As if he nothing more than a backpack he slings the boy over his shoulder and goes up the stairs.
Koda begins to whole heartedly cry and beg to be put down.
"You will learn Koda! Even if I have to beat you over and over again! You will learn!" Adrian growls determined.Authors note:
