Chapter Five, False Capture

alright so I know the last chapter was on a cliffhanger, but I want to keep it that way. You will just have to imagine what happens! jk, but still, what were you thinking when you read the cliffhanger, tell me in the comments, please! I will be uploading every day, and please just tell people about my story. Anyway, here is part five!

Katara POV 

Raven wrote back to me and her message was nice.

        Dear Avatar Katara,

I would love to be your airbending teacher, I know you have already mastered waterbending so we can apply your waterbending technique to our airbending,  and secretly I need to get out of the air temple. My mother is slowly killing me, and she has such high hopes for me, being Aangs granddaughter and all, but I do have an idea for our training area, a small cherry tree forest in the southwest earth kingdom I will meet you there in two weeks.

I can't wait to meet her in real life! It's so cool, but for now, I must master waterbending before I learn airbending, and then Sokka came up to me while I was practicing my water whip, I nearly hit him, but apparently, I had a visitor, according to Sokka, but I was suspicious, but this feeling went away when he came with me. We head to the palace, and there were fire nation soldiers along with an arrogant, angry-looking prince, I could tell because of all the expensive things he wore. (Zuko was never burned and scarred, because the war had ended before he was born) He looked at me all the while he was talking to my father, I wonder why. Maybe because he heard I am the avatar? I stared at him, while he was staring at me, he had gorgeous amber eyes, black hair in a royal top knot, with a gold flame on his bun. That was the real giveaway, the gold flame, he asked my father if he could talk to me. he said yes.

"Hello, I'm Prince Zuko," he said with a wave.

"I noticed," "what do you want?" I replied while looking at my waterbending hands,

"may I privately talk to you Avatar Katara?" he asked,

"sure."

"great,"

"Let's go to my room. " which is what we did, and then I lit the candles in my room with my pink flame, and his face was hilarious, it was a mix of shock and amazement. My room lit up again, and I asked "what do you want to talk about?"

"you," he replied,

"me?" I asked astonished, "because I'm the avatar?"

"yes, my evil father, Firelord Ozai wants you to work for him to start a new war,"

"come again?"

"my father wants to take control of the four nations, or wipe them out entirely"

"and you want to 'capture' me then kill your father correct?"

"don't you yet have to master the elements first?" maybe we can put up a ruse of a chase, and you can master the elements."

"I think that will work, but I have to go. To the earth kingdom, follow my water, but not too closely."

"Oh, ok"

I then tried to get a boat, but then I decided to just water tower and leave ice behind for Zuko, and then I told my dad about leaving to go train with Raven, and he was like ok,  so I went, and left a trail of ice for Zuko to find me. I went to the southwest Earth Kingdom, it took about six hours of water towering and leaving an ice trail.

 The cherry tree forest where Raven had agreed to meet, was absolutely beautiful. Cherry wood with pink and white blossoms, little flowering bushes creating a border around a clearing, where Starr had already set up a camp. She came out of her tent, waving, and with a shout of greeting that I could not hear properly but her bison got up, and followed her, which later I learned her name was Oppa but Raven had already set a tent up for her and a campfire had already been started. 

But then Zuko's ship arrived, and I prepared to fight. His soldiers had not been told the lies that we had created. It was obvious, so they were prepared to capture me, and I was able to instinctively able waterbend, in the avatar state, and knocked two of the three ships back, But the lead ship I didn't knock away. I took it that my conscience did not want to destroy my friend. I went out of the avatar state, still awake, and waterbended my way onto Zuko's ship. I went to the captain's rooms, to find Zuko. But instead, I found an Admiral, who must be the leader. His nametag read Zhao. He started firebending at me, and I started producing pink flames and this took him by surprise, giving me a chance to run.

"Where is Zuko?" I yelled at him

"Ha, you do mean the Zuko that talks about you in his sleep?" 'Wait he talks about me in his sleep? Wait, I can't get distracted.' my mind raced, and I ran out but not before I got some burns on him, which made me feel good. I went back to Raven, and she was in shock because she had rarely seen violence in the past 20 years that made up her life. 

"what was that?!?!" she asked, still in shock

"I thought it was my newfound friend prince Zuko, but it was a guy named Admiral Zhao, and so apparently Zuko talks about me in his sleep, and aghhh being the avatar is so hard," I replied, still angry. Zhao must have found my ice. But what was taking Zuko so long?
