Chapter 7 Cherrytree Forests Secrets

hey I know I've been gone for like a month, I've been really busy with school. I'm in middle school, ok? I've got a lot of work to do! please don't hate on me, but here is the part you've been waiting for.

Katara POVWhen Zuko came back, it felt like my puzzle was one more piece to complete. "follow me Zuko," I say"ok, where are we going?" he asks me." somewhere Sokka and Raven cant follow. plus I want to show you my airbending." ok. but I heard it," he says with a small laugh. We head to the forest, and there it is full of cherry trees, little streams, and tiny wooden bridges. The most beautiful place is the surrounded pond. Zuko looks warily at it however after I make an ice platform thick enough to support the both of us, I get on, then he gets on, and start creating a breeze of warm air and start incorporating a small amount of rain before going up to his ear to whisper the faintest

"I like you, like quite a bit." he pecks my cheek. Even though I knew it wasn't much, the small kiss by the guy I love was enough to make me blush, and then I got embarrassed, but he said,

"you look nervous. is it ok that I kissed you?"

"Yeah, it's just my first kiss and all that. Was it yours too?"

"no. mine happened seven years ago with a girl named Mai. we dated for a while, then we broke up after she kinda cheated on me with a guy named Hide, it wasn't working but after Hide, I dumped her."

"oh, ok." I took him deeper into the forest, where we found a cave, and we decided to turn back there. "I never got to return this" and I kissed fully. it turned passionate when we broke apart, he pulled out a small blue charm,

"I wanted to give this to you, hopefully, you can add it to your necklace. It kinda makes sense, the north pole symbol, and the south, kinda like us, opposites"

I took it in my hands, "It's beautiful Zuko," and I attached it to my necklace. When I got the chance I made sure Zuko's tent was right next to mine. I was able to start a pink fire, and we started cooking some fish, and dinner was started, we all had our fair share of fish, except for Raven, who didn't eat the fish, but some nuts and berries she found in the forest. Zuko and I split her fish. Sokka only demanded that we give him at least one piece. we only gave him a cubic inch. His face was so funny. It was a mix of confusion and anger. We had slipped into one of my water bags and gave it to him. When night approached, I put out the big fire and made a small one for just the two of us. it was kinda cute. Raven had already gone to sleep, on her sky bison, Cloud. Zuko and I took out the fire after about an hour, we wandered in the woods, our only light being my flame, and we ventured out to the lake where we had kissed, and he said to me, "I want you to know something," he then put his finger over my mouth and. continued, "the first time I saw you, I knew I was a goner, already fallen in the ravine that was you, and when you had to leave, I knew what you meant to me. The one girl, to strive for, and to be the one she turns to when she's sad. I want you to know, Katara, that I love you."When he finishes, I instantly start shedding a tear and lean in to kiss him, and he kisses me back, I get so caught up, that the flame in my hand goes out, and now our only light is the light of the stars and moon. When we break apart, Sokka is standing right behind us, carrying a torch with some of my pink flames, and two words are going through my head, 'oh no!'. when I use my firebending to bring the flame from his torch to my hand he says,

"Well well well, look who we have here, Zuko and Katara, kissing in the dark, " Raven then walks in,

"what's this, Karata," she says and quickly finds a stick to dip in my flame. She gets some fire onto her twig, but I extinguish it and quickly take Sokka's torch that still has some burning pieces of wood still on it drop it in the lake, then drop Zuko and me into the lake. I keep us from drowning by keeping our heads in an air pocket. Quickly we are at the bottom of the lake, and I can waterbend the water out the water from the side of the lake. and soon after getting a lot of water out from the lakeside, I get all the water out and make an ice shield to keep the water out, and soon, after quite a bit of air bending and waterbending, a small place for the two of us to sit is made.  As much as I can do firebending, whenever I try to earthbend, all I do is make pebbles tip. So when in my fury, Zuko notices.

"Katara, maybe you should calm down, you seem frustrated. "

"You're right. maybe I should let myself meditate. Kyoshi must have had many furious moments. Maybe I can talk to her, Maybe Aang too." I sit down on the ground and breathe, waiting to enter the avatar state, to talk to Kyoshi. After what feels like only a few minutes, Kyoshi comes before me. in a blue glow, she talks to me, 

"Why did you want to talk to me, Avatar Katara?"

"because I need help to master earthbending, and I know that I am doing my training in the wrong order. I can airbend, and firebend, but can barely move a pebble. How did you learn to earthbend?"

"I could only move big rocks at first, but only after fierce determination, I was then able to earthbend, my advice to you, never give up, and never let someone control you."

She then disappeared. A few seconds later, I felt myself blackout, and only someone arms around me, I knew they had to be Zuko's, but as I felt my mind fading in and out, I fell out of consciousness. my hands shotting small bits of fire onto the stick that I took down with us, and the pink light echoes in my head, and only one word echos out of my mouth as my eyes flutter shut,

"Zuko,"
