Your Choice

"You have a choice, you can turn around and take everything you've got along with compensation to support you in creating a new life but you'll never be able to join SKDD again" you eyed them all to see whether they understood before continuing "Or, you can trust me and help me win this war. We can forge a new era with our own hands... but you have to make that decision now"

There was a profound silence.

"What? Is that it?" Kid growled.

Your eyes meet with Kid's burning glare. Of course, in your line of work you've seen your fair share of these looks, and chances were you were gonna see many more. Kid advanced towards you in a threatening manner and Luffy was ready to stop him until Law intervened. He stopped right in front of you so he could look over your smaller frame. You were unperturbed.

"So you just relocate us, buy us new clothes, take us around for a nice tour and then you give us the option to quit!?" His breath fanned across your face

"Choose" you repeated.

Your vocabulary was limited but to the point.

"Rose-ya, you've been nothing but cryptic since we got here, and now you're-!"

"It's a yes or a no Law, I've given you your options" you stated calmly, eyes still fixed on Kid in case he got any ideas. "Now choose"

Your (e/c) eyes were disturbingly steady, unwavering under all the high tension. It was probably then when the three men saw your true nature. Such a contrast to the weak busybody you were pretending to be the first time they'd met you. But now, you looked like a threat.

"I'm getting real tired of your bullsh-!"

"I'm going with (Y/n)" Luffy piped up from behind Kid, his usual no longer present.

All attention was drawn to Luffy at that moment, not only had he said your name for the first time but what he was saying was quite contradictory to his 'friends.'

"Oi! Strawhat-ya!"

"I'm going to become king of the monsters! It's not like I can do that if I leave" he dead-panned "besides I don't mind dying if I'm doing what I want, isn't it the same for you guys?"

Both males paused.

"So have we come to an agreement?" You were still staring straight at Kid.

"Just open the damn door!/We have no choice!" Kid walked straight past you whilst Law scoffed.

'That's probably the closest thing to a yes that I'm gonna get'

You took a deep breath to clear your head. When your mind was focused the first thing you saw was Luffy's signature smile.

"So what's behind the door Flowers?"

'Already back to the nickname huh?' You smiled.

"Why don't you follow me and see for yourself" you made your way to the hangar door.

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

A quick five-digit code was all that was needed to prompt the hangar into motion. Dust fell as the doors slowly heaved ajar. The anticipation was practically killing Luffy. Despite that, what was even better was the sheer disappointment on his face as he came to discover that the interior was just as shabby as the outside.
