The doors came to life, gears turning and cogs shifting, steam emitting from the underside of the huge metal fortress as it slowly heaved open. The sound of yelling and thundering footsteps was countered only by the blinding light that poured through the cracks of the heavy metal doors. Doflamingo was wearing his unique shades so the light didn't phase him at all. You, on the other hand, grimaced at the drastic change in lighting and did your best to shield your delicate (e/c) eyes from the incoming sun.
'It is taking way too much will power not to hiss at the light, but if I do the flamingo would never let me live it down' you winced.
After blinking multiple times your eyes started to focus on your new surroundings. In front of you were thousands of men and women all running around dressed in uniform. The uniform mainly consisted of black tank tops, army bottoms, and black army boots; but it seems as though people liked to add their own twist to it.
'I'm almost jealous, I'm dressed in a professional dress suit and they're in baggy pants and a vest' You sighed. 'life is so cruel sometimes'
The terrain was designed to prepare these soldiers. Surrounding the entire site was a huge forest, you could see a small squadron of muddy soldiers running in and out from it, so you could only assume it was used for training. From where you were standing there was a large open field directly in front of you, it looked like the hangout spot for troops. To your left was an overhang where water flowed down. On your right, barbed wire surrounded a large sandpit. Fans were blowing sand around creating a false sand storm, and inside soldiers were screaming orders at each other carrying cardboard cutouts of different types of weapons. In all the terrain, training equipment was scattered everywhere.
'I can feel my body aching from the sight of those death traps' you glanced around.
Your eyes locked with one man who doing push-ups in the chill area. He seemed very committed and for a brief moment you made eye contact. His burning gaze was only rivaled by his fiery red hair. A small grunt left his lips before he averted his attention back to his work out.
"Lieutenant Doflamingo" an officer with a scar across his face approached you both, "we've been expecting you"
"Ah Crocy, it's been so long!" Doflamingo greeted. "Did you miss me?"
It was as clear as day that this man did not miss Doflamingo in the slightest. He was taller than you but smaller than Doffy and boy was he built. His jet black hair was sleeked back while his eyes seemed to cut through metal. The man looked sharp. Despite that, the most noticeable feature was the large scar that cut across his face. You really wanted to know the backstory of that.
"Spare me your false concern and address me by my proper title Lieutenant" he growled.
"But saying first Officer Crocodile is such a mouthful though" Doffy smirked.
"I wasn't made aware that you were bringing someone" he gestured to you completely ignoring his childish behavior.
"Really? That's strange... Oh well!" Doflamingo walked away from Crocodile to face the troops that were running around "She's not one worth worrying over, just an understudy who wants to take a look at SKDD's finest"
