"We're losing the war" you coolly stated
For you, this was common knowledge but as their eyes widened in disbelief you were reminded of the large blanket of lies that your world had been wrapped in just so they could sleep properly at night. Neither of them were expecting that specific arrangement of words to slip out of your mouth so languidly.
"Sea kings have always been powerful and there are only a handful of people who can take them on singlehandedly. Most of the time we lose over two dozen men to just one of those monsters. I'm sure even you can do the math and see that the odds are against us. No matter how much funding we get there's no point if we don't have good soldiers to fight" you stirred your drink and watched as it formed a mini whirlpool. "We've been fighting a losing war"
Nobody said a word. Kid and Law were both sat in silence as the words registered in their minds and the weight of what you were saying started to press on their shoulders. Sat across from all three you couldn't help but feel a strong sense of responsibility, after all, you'd just brought them into the middle of the chaos.
"Are you telling me everything that we've gone through was for nothing?" Kid hissed. "That we've already lost?"
"We haven't lost yet" you cut him off abruptly. "And I don't plan on losing any more good men because higher-ups refuse to get their act together"
You'd used a bit of unintended force in your voice which quickly led to silence.
"...Why are we here Rose-ya?" Law asked quietly, almost as though he was considering whether he wanted to hear the answer or not.
"Oh that's simple!" You smiled at him "You're hear to end this war, and I can't wait!"
".... THE FUCKS THAT SUPPOSED TO ME-!?" Kid growled
"Would you quiet down! You're starting to disturb the other customers!" You hissed as you gave an apologetic look. "this isn't something that you need to worry about, you'll have everything you need back at HQ" you beamed "After all you're piloting my suits"
"Suits?" Law raised a brow
"Piloting?" Kid inquired
"Yup" you started to fiddle with the straw in your drink "I've designed suits that will revolutionise the way we fight the sea kings. With them we're going to win this war, and I've chosen you three to pilot them"
It was a lot of information to take in but hey seemed to be managing pretty well.... well Law was anyway.
"Phew! That was good! I haven't eaten like that in a while!" Luffy chuckled as he patted his stomach
To his side were a stack of empty plates almost reaching his height. You couldn't help but sweatdrop at the amount of food the kid could consume. Thankfully paying wouldn't be an issue, as you could never really get through the pay checks Doflamingo gave you .
'Incredible... the chefs are gonna love and hate you' you smiled at him.
"I wasn't really paying much attention but you're going to make us look cool while we fight right?" He grinned still patting his stomach.
'So simplified' you laughed even more.
"I mean I guess that's all the information you really need, you can always ask if you need more." you smiled
"Nah!" He laughed "I got it!"
"Rose-ya, these suits?" Law began but you raised your hand
"We don't have to focus on that right now, we've actually got a more pressing concerns to deal with" you finished your drink out.
"And that is?" Law clearly doubting that there was something of more importance than this.
"Shopping" you deadpanned.
"....eh?.......EEEEEHHHHHH!!!!!!!?!" They all gave you bewildered gazes.

"Thanks for the meal Flowers" Luffy laughed as he stepped out the joint.
"Don't mention it, like I said before, think of it as an apology for earlier" You crumpled up the cheque and threw it in the bin.
"Are you guys coming?" Luffy turned back to his friends who were slowly making their way out the door.
"Don't boss me around strawhat" Kid growled as Law just followed with a bored expression.
You sighed before clapping your hands for attention. "Here's the plan! Law here's some money so that you and Luffy can go and buy some new clothes. I'll get clothes with Kid, that way we can cover more ground and get things done smoothly."
There was a split display of emotions painted on all three faces. Law smirked, liking the idea of having some control over Luffy, whereas Luffy looked completely disheartened at the idea. Kid made no effort to hide his disgust with your plans.
"Ehhhh!!? How comes Law gets to have money!?" Luffy moaned
"Cause I have this crazy feeling that you'd spend all your share on food" you chuckled.
"I guess you are smart to some extent" Law ran a hand through his dishevelled black locks, revealing in his new found power.
'I'm going to ignore that statement' you smiled to yourself.
"Why do I have to go with you?" Kid spat.
"Don't worry I'm not gonna stop you from buying anything, I just want to make sure that there aren't any misunderstandings with you and the workers" you explained "We could all shop together but I'm sure you all have different styles and unless you wanted to go with Law and I take Luffy" you offered. "I feel like this is the best solution"
Both Law and Kid visibly grimaced at the thought of being in each other's presence any longer.
"I guess we're all in agreement then!" you chuckled "If that's all your questions answered then lets get started! We'll meet up in two and a half hours by the fountain okay?"
Kid just grunted while Law gave you a simple nod, no longer smirking in a concerning manner.
"Alright..." Luffy moped dragging himself behind his friend.
"Luffy!" You called causing him to turn around "if you don't cause trouble we can get ice cream later!"
Immediately his whole demeanour changed, face lighting up and water starting to dribble from his mouth.
'I should be more concerned about how easy it is to sway Luffy's mood' you pondered.
"We're not a bunch of brats you know?" Kid spat removing you from your thoughts "sprinkling us with treats won't get you anywhere"
"I'm only doing it now cause I doubt you'll get the opportunity later" you sighed. "this will probably be the last time you get to be so laid back"
Kid watched you for a moment before sneering.
"Whatever short stack, let's just get this over and done with" he stormed off
'this is going to be long...' you sighed as you trailed behind.
