Oh little Laney

A/N Sorry guys for the delay. But I'm back. And the story must go on. This chapter maybe a little rough as I'm slowly getting back writing. Hope it's not ok terrible.

Jane POV
"Aunty Jay wake up. Aunty Jay please wake up." Meredith whines

"Mm okay mm awake. Wass wrong?" I ask still half asleep.

"Aunty Jay Laney is crying but hers is still sleeping and me can't get her to stop." I instantly jolt awake at hearing those words and I head to the guest room where I can hear the poor girls cries and scream

"PWEASE NO MOMMY I PROMISE I WONT DO IT AGAIN I PROMISE. MOMMY PWEASE THAT HURS I BE A GOOD GIRL PWEASE NO!!!" Her screams are loud and heartbreaking I gently try to wake her without scaring her more that what she is.

"Laney baby girl it's okay. Laney sweetie you gotta wake up." I tried to shake her lightly but she begin swing and flailing her arms. But still not waking. I quickly try to grab her arms careful not the hurt her.

"Meredith baby I know this is scary but I need to be a big girl and turn on the light and then I need you to wake Maura for me please." She jump up and quickly turns on the light I hear her feet running down the hall towards the room.

"Laney sweetie you got to wake up for. It's just a dream you are safe. It's okay I got you just please wake up." She startles awake and just starts sobbing uncontrollably. I scoop up the distraught girl in my arms and I feel that her pants are damp but I don't care about that I just continue to hold her as she cries into my arms.
"Jane ?" I hear my Maura voice. I'm not even sure when she entered the room but Im glad to see her.
"She was having a nightmare and a bad one." I say while continuing to rock the distraught little girl.
"Oh sweetie. It's gonna be okay." Maura says while trying to wipe her tears away but they just kept coming. After a little while her sob slowed down to sniffle but her tears just kept coming.
"I'm gonna take her to bathroom she had an accident. Can you please strip the bed sheet please."

"Of course Jane. Hey also here this you made need it." She says while handing me a pacifier attached to a clip.
I walk Laney into the guest bathroom and place her on top of the toilet seat. She begins to protest and cry again.
"No No no down no down pwease." She begins to cry harder.

"Laney baby I know you don't want down but sweetie I have got to get you all cleaned up."

"No no Jay Jay uppy uppy pwease." She continues to cry
"Laney sweetie it's okay. We got to get you clean up it's  time to get in the bath."
"No baff no baff Jay. Uppy pwease" she kept refusing and continued to cry.
"Okay Laney please stop crying sweetie. Here do you want give this try." I ask while holding out the pacifier. She takes it but continues to cling to me.
"Baby what do I have to do to get you into bath so we can go back to sleep peanut. Jay Jay is tired and I know you are too."
"Ay baff ou" she mumbles around her paci but I understood enough to know why she wanted.
"Okay kiddo how about this. We hop in and take a quick shower so we can go back to sleep and tonight we take a bath."
"Ay baff ou"
"Yes Jay will take  bath too but now Jay Jay wants us to get clean up to go back to bed."
"omise'" she says holding out her pinky
"Yes I promise." I say linking my pinky with her smaller one. After that she allowed me to put her into the shower I quickly washed her up careful not to get her cast wet and took her out wrapping her in a fluffy towel and sat her down while I quickly hop in the shower.
"Alright little monkey let go get some pjs on" she lift her arms for me to pick her up and we head back to my bedroom. As we enter the room I see Meredith is cuddled in the middle of the bed next to Maura already sleeping.
"Hey Maur can you maybe give me a hand here."
"Sure Jane. Hey Laney is it okay if I help you get dressed?" She asks, reaching her hands out to grab her. Laney go straight to her while I head to the other side of the room to get dressed.
Soon after we were all cuddled in our bed. Meredith is curled into Maura front and Laney is clingy to me while sucking her paci and I can't help the smile that graces my face as I fall asleep thinking how lucky I am for our family.
The Next Morning
Maura POV
I'm awaken by the sound of Jane moving about the bedroom getting ready for work. I slowing try to maneuver myself out of the bed without disturbing the two sleeping girls.
"Morning babe sorry did I wake you?" I hear the voice I love the most
"Morning my love. And no you didn't wake me."
"Korsack called a little bit ago. They got a lead. We can finally go make an arrest
"That's great. I know how much this case has been bothering you hopefully you have it close by the end of the work day."
"Yea we should. I'm gonna head out now to get a head start and I should be home by lunchtime I will call if it's any later. Are you sure you're gonna be okay with both the girls?"
"Yes Jane. I'll let them sleep a little while longer while I prepared breakfast. If I need any help or have any problem I will call you."
"Okay babe I love you and I'll call you in a few hours."
"I love you too my love." I give her a kiss as she is heading out the door and I get to work to making breakfast for the girls. I prepare them eggs and fresh fruit with yogurt. I set the table and proceed upstairs to wake the girls. As I approach the bedroom I hear the girls talking but it's not the little them talking it's the big them talking. I walk quietly up to door and wait outside the door making sure not to interrupt there conversation.
