The next thing I knew it was morning.

After feeling far more refreshed, I stepped out of the dilapidated room and back onto the school bus where I sat next to Issac. He wrapped his arm around me and I rested against him for the whole ride in bliss.

Whilst preparing dinner for Issac and I, I was emergency called into work. As many members as possible were needed to support the excess flow of patients.

I ran to the hospital in the warm Californian air. The hospital itself became a motorway. So many gurneys speeding up and down the hallways, attempting to move people as quickly as possible.

I worked with Melissa as usual, I pushed the gurney whilst she did what she could for the patients and attempted to contact the ER attendant.

I exchanged a small smile with Scott as a greeting in passing. He brought his mother dinner as a kind gesture.

"I need help!"

These  words crushed my small heart I had.

Danny was being dragged in by a solemn Ethan. I wanted to threaten Ethan's life but Danny needs me more.

I help Danny to a seat whilst Scott interrogates the twin instead. He tells us of Danny's chest pains and shortness of breath.

"This is not good, how much longer on doctor Hilliard?" Melissa cry's out, "his larynx has shifted to the side, I think it is a tension haemothorax."

My best friend throws himself forward and vomits mistletoe, a Druid plant.

I wheel Danny into a private booth, my chest tightens with each weak drawing of breath.

Big bad alpha Ethan looked like a puppy, "where are the nurses and doctors? Where is everyone?"

"It's a full house tonight," I reply, "they're attending to other patients."

Scott turns to Melissa, "Mom how can we help?"

"Honey you can't his lung has collapsed. His heart is being pushed against his chest cavity."

"He's going to die isn't he?"

"No, no he's not. Scott you grab the tape, you grab those scissors and cut his shirt open. Atticus, you're gonna need to give me some time."

After Ethan is finished cutting open Danny's shirt, I go to his chest. With what little strength I'd recovered from controlling Issac, I ease his lungs. I didn't  know how to do this, however it was enough so he could barely breath.

Melissa puts a needle into Danny and eases his breathing fully. We both relax as we see Danny ease. Tension released from every limb of my body, I was so close to just losing him like that.

"Thank you," the handsome tanned teen said to the two of us.

"No problem," Melissa said. Upon Scott and Ethan's strange looks Melissa asked, "what?"

"That was awesome, both of you. That was awesome."

Ethan nods with a sweet smile on his face.

"It was no problem."

"It wasn't a big deal," I replied.

Scott was in awe of the situation and Ethan himself was deep in thought.

Later during the night, I go out with Melissa to explain the missing doctors to the sheriff but am pulled away by Scott and Stiles.

"These are definitely sacrifices right?" Stiles asks me, as I know a little more than them.

"Yes, healers."

"What about Danny? He threw up mistletoe, it's not a coincidence and if he hadn't had been with Ethan he would have died. Danny's not a healer," Stiles argues.

"They found a body of the first dead doctor," Scott announced with his super hearing.

I finally headed home after a long shift, my stomach felt like it had ate itself. Yet when I walked into my flat, I was barraged with smoke.

I rushed through my apartment to find the source only to find Issac fanning the smoke alarm with a dishcloth.

"I'm sorry", the beta blushed, "I was trying to finish dinner but turns out I'm not a good chef."

On the oven top seemed to be a cremated version of what I was preparing earlier.

I laughed at Issac, opening a window as I did. I hugged him and thanked him for his efforts. It was a sweet gesture.

"Just next time, order me pizza."

Issac gasped in mock offence, "I'm not that bad," he protested.

"You're the only one I know who could burn boiled eggs," I smirked.

He couldn't help but break a smile also.
