Summer was a time of reflection. As the days are longer so is the time to reminisce in your victories and loath your failures. Gerard and the Kanima were defeated but Stiles hates me. Not just me, everything I am.

However no more.

Summer break was also a time of reflection for our whole family, which has shrunk considerably due to recent events. In order to ensure that we stay alive, we agreed we will not hunt anymore.

What Allison and Chris didn't know was what Dr Deaton gave me to read was a whole new ball park. I didn't completely understand it myself, it was all a bit hippie for my liking. Yet with what the book said and what I found out from odd pieces in the beastiary, I think I'm ready to learn and move forward.

Atticus Argent the newest practicing Druid.

I use the term very loosely. When I had the time to try some basic rituals I took my chance. Nothing impressive, just on wild herbs I found. Better than sacrificing animals.

I decided to stay in Beacon Hills to stay close to Allison and Chris. I didn't want to finish my studies elsewhere either. So with some of what I had from moms inheritance, I bought a small apartment a five minute drive from the school. It wasn't much. A bedroom which barely fit a bed and storage space and a kitchen with no more than a stove, coach, table and two spruce chairs. I had the money to afford nicer, something similar to what Chris had, but I didn't wish to get too attached.

When back from France it was time for school all over again.

I rocked up to school in my 4x4. It was nice driving a sleek car. I sacrifice my house for a nice car anyway. I saw Scott take off a bikers helmet on his new motor bike. It wasn't as sleek and classy as the bikes next to him but it was nice, his own.

"Nice bike Scott" I greeted genuinely.

Scott accepted my greeting and checking Allison and myself were okay, however I feel like he cared more so for the Allison details. Naturally, I asked how stiles was in return, part of me hoping that he had forgiven me.

Scott explained sympathetically that he doesn't mind seeing me, he just can't afford to get close. Out of fear of getting hurt, I assume.

Before I had time to respond Scott was already distracted admiring or being jealous of the bikes next to his. Jet black and looked expensive.

I left quietly, not wanting to get into that discussion.

"Freshmen" I heard Lydia say melodiously. "Lots and lots of fresh men"

I hugged my cousin who clearly disapproved of the comment.

"Fresh boys. Lydia. They're 14!".

"Eh some more mature than others" Lydia carried on checking out the fresh meat.

"After how last year ended I think I need to find myself some new talent" I added clearly guessing my chances with Stiles, as much as it hurt, were not going to be anytime soon.

"You know it's okay to be single. Focus on yourself for a while work on becoming a better person" Allison elaborated, me and Lydia saw her speech for what it was though. Projection.

"Allison I love you. So if we need to do that thing where we talk about me and pretend like we aren't actually talking about you it's fine. But I don't want a boyfriend. I want a distraction"

To which I had to agree with, Lydia and myself giving each other a knowing look.

Speaking of distractions, two buff twins walked down the corridor together in black leather. I must admit they looked like models.
