"I'm starting over to add more boys"
Also me: literally only adds Jack

It's all I can do rn because I'm so busy. Just wait until summer my dudes, then there will be crazy updates I promise.

Anyways on with it--

How you met

People would often ask you, "What's it like being so rich?" You always boasted saying that you have lots of fun getting to do whatever you want.

Which was only partially true. Sometimes you think that maybe if your parents weren't so rich, they wouldn't neglect you as much.

You knew you should be grateful for your life--you get to eat, wear, see, and do whatever you want and whenever you wanted. You're living everyone's dream.

There's just something missing. Even with people taking care of you left and right, you feel as though nobody actually cares about you. Your parents are always away doing business things, and everyone else you know has never given time to get to know you. Your only "friends" always hang out without you, and all they know about you is how much change is in your pocket.

You decided one morning to try and change that. You think that maybe if you make yourself interesting, people will want to be your friend.

Your first step is to go outside and talk to everyone. Be social. Get your name known.

It is within this first step that you run into a newsie.

You'd never talked to a newsie before. Your social statuses were so vastly different that you never thought you would come into contact with one. Apparently that's what would happen by walking all around the city and not caring about where you're headed.

You caught the newsie's attention and he came your way, asking if you'd buy his paper. He tried convincing you that the headline was some horrible tragedy that happened, but you saw right through him.

"Sorry, I don't have any money on me right now," you lied.

"And how am I supposed to believe that?" He asked. He had seen right through you, too.

You sighed, handing him some coins from your dress pocket. "Fine, here's some money. Don't think I'm gonna actually read the stupid paper, though."

"What does it matter to me if you read it or not?" He smiled slightly. "I'm Jack, by the way. Jack Kelly."

You nodded. "I'm y/n," you said. "I have to run, dinner's gonna be ready soon."

"Well it was nice meeting ya, y/n." Jack smiled again as you left.

When you got home you wondered what in the heck that was all about. Why did he start to talk to you? From what you've seen, interactions with newsies only include buying the paper or not buying the paper. And why was he smiling at you?

As you continued to replay the scene in your head, you realized that Jack was actually quite...handsome.

"Maybe I should go back just to say hi," you thought. "But for now I need sleep."
