“Chocolate?”

Jenny looks back.

“Huh?”

She looks around. Besides her, the whole place was empty. Just the trees and the lake. She looked at the lake.

“Chocolate”

*This is definitely from the lake!*

She cautiously walks towards it. As she reaches her shore, she sees her reflection on the water. She was wearing a light blue dress and her hair was in a braid. She didn't wear any shoes, just barefoot.

“Chocolate. Come with me. Let us be free. You'll be free…...” she heard the voice say. But this voice did not belong to her beloved brother. No it didn't.

“Who are you?” she nervously asks.

“It's me, Jenny! Don't you remember me?! I'm your brother...” the voice tells her.

*No! This isn't his voice!*

She suddenly found herself in the water. It reached till her knees.

*Wha– But how…..how did I get here?*

That was when she knew that she had to run.

“No. You're not!” she started to run. She ran back through the path she walked, away from the lake. She felt a hand grab her foot and she tripped. She fell on the ground. The hand dragged her back towards the lake.

“No!! Let me go!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!! Somebody please help!!!” She screamed.

Suddenly the bullies seemed less scary than what was happening to her right now.

*Am I going to die?*

*No way! I need to survive!*

She kicked the hand hard and it loosened its grip on her. Jenny kicked her leg free and got up. She then ran again. At full speed. Her energy was draining. But she continued to run.

Suddenly, someone pushed her. Jenny fell on the ground with full force this time…..

Jenny woke up with a start. She was sweating. She placed a hand on her chest and felt her fast heartbeat.

*Ugh…..it was just a nightmare. Thank goodness!* She sighs.

She takes her phone from the table and sees the time.

7:55

*Did mom and dad leave already?*

She walks out of her room and goes downstairs to the living room. She sees her parents enter the car and drive off to work. She sighs as she walks back to her bedroom and sits on her bed, her head in her hands.

*Ugh…Why did I get that nightmare? Now I can't sleep!* She groans as she lies down and closes her eyes, hoping to fall asleep, which did not happen.

Sighing, she walks to her balcony and opens the door. She walks out and sits there on the floor.

*Ahhh this is nice! Cool morning air!*

She smiles as she listens to the birds chirp.

Suddenly, she hears her phone ring.

*Who would call me at this time?!* She gets up and walks to her bed, where her phone was.

Dad. She answers it.

“Hello?”

Good morning dear! Slept well?
