Sidharth threw Veebha's hand away which was in mid air to hit me. I stood there shocked. I felt dumb for not stopping her myself and standing like a victim.

"How dare you..??" Sidharth's voice echoed in the entire space startling people from around.
"She started it Sid." Veebha shouted back while I gawked at the two, too numb to react.
No one dared to hit me ever.
"Don't ever try to hurt her." Sid warned her in a slow yet angry tone.
His face was filled with anger and his nose flared.
He resembled his brother a lot in his anger.
I kept on staring at my best friend who was fighting for me.
"Behave Sidharth." I heard another voice from behind and looked to find Mr Malhotra standing with his forever angry expressions.
"Is this how you talk to her.!!??" Mr Malhotra marched towards us scolding his brother and I wanted to shout at him to shut up and listen to his brother but nothing came out.
"She doesn't know how to respect others. She is no one to insult..." Before he could complete his brother stopped him.
"Shut up Sid. Say sorry to her right now." He said and I looked at Sid.
He didn't bother to ask his brother about why he was doing it ?
It all happened because of me..
I never wanted the brothers to fight.

"Manik leave it." Veebha said and tried to snuggle into Mr Malhotra's chest.

Before he could say anything, Sidharth side hugged me and took me with him.
I wanted to clear things but I couldn't. And even if I did it would have made no difference. I was no one. Even if she dared to slap me, it won't bother Manik.

"I am sorry." I said for the upteenth time as we sat in canteen.
"Murthy stop saying sorry. It was not your fault. " He said but the sadness in his eyes clenched my heart.
I wanted to make everything okay.
"I never wanted you two to fight." I said holding his hand on the table.
"I know and we didn't fight because of you. We fought because my brother trusted his friend more than his brother and didn't even bother to ask the reason." He let his worry out.
"Even if you would have told it would have made no difference. She will be right for him like I am for you and secondly I am no one to him." I added politely.
"But he knows what you mean to me Murthy. And he should remember it." He retorded back.
"Sid I don't want you to keep on fighting with your brother. Try to solve it soon." I said and he gave me a hopeless look. "Please..!!" I added making puppy face.
"It's just not about you. It's about me too." He said.
"I know but you can at least try." I said. "For me." I added
