I opened the door to my room and was awestruck at the beauty. This room was way too spacious and a small balcony opened with the view of lawn; all green and colourful. I went inside and heard Manik follow me as I took in the appearance of my new room.
"It is beautiful." A sentence escaped my lips as I went beyond and towards the glass door that separated the balcony. I opened and then stepped into the open air and looked around to find my balcony being extended towards left.
"This room is mine. And our balconies are connected." Manik gave me the information while standing behind me and I couldn't help but smile. I turned around to find him towering over me with his never ending smile.
"And why is that so?" I asked folding my arms across my chest.
"Told you. I can't stay away from you." He shrugged his shoulders while I chuckled and turned to have a better look at everything.
"Everything is perfect, Manik. Literally."
"I am glad that you liked. You can change anything according to your wish." He said and I didn't have to think twice before not agreeing to his offer. Everything was the way anyone could ever want.
"Sir, your friends are here." The butler almost shouted from the open door and Manik looked too shocked and pissed.
"I told them I would come to meet myself." Manik said and the butler looked at Manik and then at me not knowing what else to do. I signalled him to leave and he did.
"It's okay Manik. You guys haven't been away for such long."
"I visited Mumbai recently for the meeting."
"But you had to rush back because of me." I walked to him and rubbed his shoulder as he looked too tensed.
"What's bothering you so much?" I asked as it wasn't just them visiting him or they not letting us spend some time that bothered him.
"Nothing, my love. I just wanted to spend some time roaming around your new home." He said looking at me with all the love and adoration.
"There is nothing else right ?"
"Not at all. Nothing bothers me since I have you." He added and I too shooed away the topic.
"Now go and meet your friends. They must be missing you." I said and he looked at me with such an emotion that brought jitters to me and butterflies in my stomach.
"Nandini, you can come and move wherever you want to. I told them that you'll be staying with me because I am your guardian now. You don't have to be worried or scared of anyone." He said and I smiled while nodding at him. He kissed my forehead and then moved away after giving me his beautiful smile.
Fab Five, dangerous as ever. They always seemed arrogant. Manik was one of them too and everyone knew how much I hated him or was scared of him. But he turned out to be a gem. Apart from him being in love with me, he is actually a good man; a gentleman. What if everyone is as good as him? And I will mingle with them too?? I wasn't even sure why was I stressed about it? Manik loves me. That is it.
"Murthyyyyyy."
"Huh!!" I turned around to find Sid with his questioning look.
"Where are you lost? I have been calling you since few minutes now."
"I just zoned out? What is it?"
"Let's go. I'll show you our apartment. And since Bhai's friends are here, we can have our time."
