A poem about my feelings

I am
I am a rubber band.
I feel myself being stretched. I become weaker the more I'm pulled and I'm scared because I know I'm about to snap soon and can't do anything about it.

I am a water glass with a straw
I feel myself getting sucked through the straw. What's left of me is becoming less and less and I know soon I will become empty and no longer have a use.

I am a door mat.
I feel myself being stepped on and used. My only purpose is to have everything wiped on me. All that is wiped on me will be too hard to clean off. I will never feel new and eventually I will be thrown out.

I am a flower.
I feel myself slowly wilting. I long for water but no matter how much I'm given it doesn't help. I know at some point I will dry up and die. I will be replaced with a new flower and be forgotten.

I am a mime.
I feel myself trapped in an invisible box. I can't speak. I can't ask for help. I can only act but I know not everyone will understand me.

I am everything so why do I still feel like I'm nothing.
