Sam and Colby hard times

Colbys hiccups

Sams POV
It's about 9:50am and I'm just sitting in bed editing my video. Suddenly I hear a quiet hiccup. A few seconds pass and I hear another. I continue editing and hear a third hiccup.

Colby- are you serious? *hic*

I hear Colby say from his bedroom. I close my laptop and walk across the hall to Colbys room. I knock and slowly open the door. Colby is sitting up in bed. He looks up at me as I walk in.

You okay?

Colby- yeah. I thi *hic* think so.

Colby looks annoyed as he hiccups again.

Do you have the hiccups?

Colby nods his head still looking annoyed. I wonder what caused them.

How did you get them?

Colby- I'm not sure. My nose is *hic* always a bit stuffy when I wake up in the mornings. So I gu *hic* guess it just messed with my breathing pattern.

Oh. Well I just finished editing my video so do you want to come downstairs with me for some breakfast?

Colby nods his head. He hiccups as he gets out of bed. I try not to laugh because I know he is usually a bit ticked off when he has the hiccups. He hates them. We get downstairs and Colby fills up a glass of water. I grab a few eggs out of the fridge and a frying pan.

Colby takes a few sips of water. He sets the glass down and we both wait silently for a few seconds.

Colby- *hic* NO

I smile a bit trying again not to laugh. Colby puts his head in his hands.

It didn't work did it.

Colby- no. I just want them to be *hic* gone already.

If you still have them after breakfast I can try to help you get rid of them.

Colby nods. I finish making our eggs and put them on a plate. I grab some yogurt from the fridge and bring everything over to the table. Colby and I sit there in silence other than the occasional hiccup eating our eggs.

We are almost done with our eggs. Colby just put the last bite in his mouth when he hiccuped. He immediately starts coughing and hiccuping.

Colby- cough *hic* cough cough

I pat Colby on the back.

Are you good Colby?

Colby- I think so. *hic* I hiccuped and inhaled the eggs.

I laugh and get Colby some more water. He drinks it but it doesn't help. He still has the hiccups. I promised him I would try to help him get rid of them after breakfast so I cleared the table.

Let's go sit on the couch and try to find some cures for your hiccups.

Colbys POV
I follow Sam over to the couch. I sit down next to him. I hiccup really loud and Sam jumps.

Sorry. That was loud.

Sam- let's google some cures and try them.

I type into google how to get rid of hiccups. A list of ideas come up and we go down the list. The first one says hold your breath. I hold my breath but when I stop I immediately hiccup again.
