Kya x Lin - Two professors

Both the professors were now walking out of the airport building searching for Kya's younger brother Tenzin. He was supposedly pick them up from the airport. Kya searched around with her eyes through several cars parked at the waiting area and finally saw a man slightly younger than her waving at them happily and almost running towards them. Upon reaching Tenzin hugged Kya tightly
Tenzin: KYAA...
Kya giggled and hugged Tenzin back for a few seconds and broke their hug apart.
Kya: Tenzin this is Lin a professor with me at my academy, Lin this is my youngest brother Tenzin.
Lin stretched her hand indicating for a handshake which Tenzin gladly welcomed. They shook hands and Lin spoke.
Lin: It's nice to meet you Tenzin.
Tenzin: So professor official (he and Kya laughed at his comment) nice to finally meet you too.
Lin: Kya has there been anyone who doesn't know me?
Lin looked at Kya raising her eyebrow and smirking knowing that Kya is currently all blushing and embarrassed.
Kya looked away making herself oblivious and replying
Kya: Maybe not...
With that all 3 started walking towards Tenzin's car, with Tenzin carrying Kya's bags and Lin her own since she refused to give them to Tenzin to carry them. They packed everything in car and headed off to their mother's place. Lin wasn't sure if she had told Tenzin that they were together now and she didn't know if that what's Kya brought her for to the South, to announce them as an official thing. Lin was thinking through every detail in her head and was broke out of her thoughts when Kya held her hand while casually talking to her brother. Lin looked at Kya to only see her smiling but still not looking back at her. She was truly beautiful... Lin thought.

The car drive was over and they have reached Kya's parent home. They all got out of the car and took their bags in to be met by an elder woman Lin assumed she was Kya's mother.
Kya almost ran to her and hugging her tightly almost crying. They both seemed so happy, Lin wondered how long has it been since they last saw each other...
Kya let go of her mother and motioned for Lin to come over.
Kya: Mother this is Lin, she is a professor in my academy and my very good friend. Lin this is my mother Katara.
Lin smiled looking back at Katara
Lin: I'm pleased to meet you.

Lin slightly bowed showing her respect to the elder woman infront of her.

Katara just kept looking at Lin smiling and observing every detail of the young professor.

She finally spoke.

Katara: The pleasure is all mine my dear. (Turns and Kya) I see why you chose her to come.

Lin and Kya both looked at each other confused and this time Lin did not expect to see a confused expression on Kya's face.

What did she mean, they both thought.

Katara turned away from them walking into the living room.

Katara: Let's go inside, Bumi should arrive later tonight. Kya please follow me to the kitchen. And Lin please make yourself comfortable any friend of Kya's is welcome here.

Kya smiled at Lin slightly waving and following her mother. Suddenly Tenzin came closer by Lin's side nudging her shoulder. Lin looked at him.

Tenzin: Mother seems to accept you.
Lin: What do you mean?
Tenzin: I mean that our mother obviously knows that her daughter is gay and she senses when something isn't spoken of just yet. She's waiting Kya to speak herself about you two. You're the first ever "friend" to have entered this house. Kya must be dead serious about you.
Lin smiled as Tenzin was speaking and she was feeling really happy to be the first one to enter such a private place in Kya's life.
Tenzin took their bags upstairs.

Shortly Kya came back from the kitchen she noticed that Lin was on the couch scrolling through her phone. Being alone in the living room Kya used the moment and walked quickly over to Lin and gave her a quick kiss on the lips.
