Kya x Lin - Two professors

Lin was getting ready to go downstairs after her quick shower. She was standing infront of the window in Kya's room that looked over the front area of the house. Lin saw a car she didn't see before parked there and was wondering who their guest might be. Lin walked out of the room heading downstairs and in the middle of those stairs she stopped hearing another woman's voice. She went down a little more to not be visible but still hear what was going on in the living room. She heard Kya's voice as well...

Kya: Lin's upstairs changing, she'll be down any minute
***: You look very happy with her, something I couldn't afford

The woman chuckled slightly and there was a few moments of silence.

Kya: Izumi..
Lin heard Kya's voice so soft and calm

Kya: We did share a lot of special moments and you were given enough chances yknow.
Izumi: I know I know but seeing you now made me realize what a dumb fool I was not treating you right.
Kya: Dumb fool you are

Kya started laughing softly

Lin heard shuffling noises like someone was moving on the couch. Lin dreaded moving further to see what was happening she just kept listening to shuffling silence. Then suddenly she heard Kya speak.

Kya: You think standing this close to me will make me want you?
Izumi: Is it working?

Lin couldn't believe what she was hearing, Izumi was trying to make a move on Kya while she wasn't around. Lin decided to listen where this would go and maybe internally she just wanted to know what Kya's reaction would be.

Kya: Not a bit

Lin let out her breath she didn't know she was holding this whole time awaiting Kya's answer. She then heard as if someone went back to sit on the couch. And she heard steps probably Kya walking through to the kitchen. There was food cooking she could smell the deliciousness in the air.

Izumi: What's so special anyway? She's just another grumpy professor.
Kya almost yelling from the kitchen.
Kya: I'll leave the specialties to myself Izumi. Stop being jealous.

Izumi chuckled slightly, when Lin decided to enter the living room. Izumi turned around to see Lin with her usual expression from their earlier encounter in the town.

Izumi: Hello Lin.
Lin bluntly answered not stopping walking to the kitchen.
Lin: Hello Izumi.

Izumi felt uncomfortable at how Lin responded thinking she might have seen her when she tried to maybe kiss Kya a couple of minutes ago.

Lin entered the kitchen and Kya noticed her. She slightly raised her voice so that Izumi could hear her.

Kya: Finally my grumpy professor has arrived.

Kya wrapped her arms around Lin's neck chuckling and kissing Lin's face. Lin held Kya by her waist and smiled slightly at Kya's cheesy comments. Lin wanted to play cool...

Lin: What's with your sudden affection.
She pecked Kya's lips and pulled her closer hugging her waist tightly. Kya giggled even more.
Kya: Just felt like it.
Kya placed her forehead on Lin's and closed her eyes breathing deeply, staying quiet for a few seconds then finally saying...
Kya: I just love you ...

Lin kept studying Kya's face up close and waited till Kya opened her eyes. Finally doing so, Lin looked into her eyes.

Lin: I just love you too, and I think you need to get back there so dinner doesn't burn.

Lin nodded towards the stove catching Kya's attention. Kya gasped quickly returning to the stove and luckily nothing burned.

Lin walked out of the kitchen into the living room noticing Izumi sitting on the couch scrolling through her phone. Lin sat at the opposite couch from Izumi having the coffee table in between them. Lin acted cool and just took out her phone not looking up she spoke.
