Kya x Lin - Two professors

As they walked through the streets, Lin kept looking around at their surroundings and taking in every detail of the small town they were walking through. She kept imagining young Kya walking through these streets back in the past before even knowing they both existed for each other. She kept looking over at Kya stealing glances from time to time, taking in her beauty. She kept on thinking of how lucky she was being able to call the beautiful woman next to her "mine".
Both of them occasionally had small talks about random stuff they would across on their way. Kya would tell her all the memories she had at those places during her childhood, during her teenage and young years before moving out to the big city. Lin was very much interested in every detail Kya would mention and she would note in the back of her mind some little things to make sure she could show her later that she does listen to them.
On their way Kya met a couple of people whom she knew and would introduce Lin to them as her very close friend. Lin did not mind having such introductions of her to these people since she didn't know how close or what sort of relationship she had with those people. They might be just random acquaintances not even friends to share such intimate details of themselves at the moment. After a while of walking Kya decided to go to a cafe she's used to visiting since she was young and basically dragged Lin into that miniature cafe place. Once they entered the smell of fresh baked goods and roasted coffee beans hit the nose. Lin was enjoying the cosy atmosphere right from the start.
They both ordered warm drinks for themselves and found a place in the corner of the cafe to sit for a while. They sat next to each other drinking and chatting softly. Their hands were entangled together while they sat really close to each other enjoying their warmth they both shared.

Kya: Are you enjoying yourself here?
Lin: Yes I am, is it hard to tell?
She looks at Kya, their faces too close to each other and they can feel each other's breath tickling their faces. Kya looks at Lin and down to her lips and she whispers softly...
Kya: No ...
Lin pecked Kya's lips gently and smiled at her. Kya's heart was racing and she couldn't be more happy at this moment.
Kya: You make it harder for me to get out of the house next time...
They both giggled at her comment and just continued having small talk in between pecks and sips of their warm drinks.

They were now walking through the town once again occasionally entering random shops on their way.

Kya: Are you not tired? I've been dragging you into every store here, I'm sorry
Lin: I'm fine I will definitely let you know if I get tired.
Lin kissed Kya's cheek to reassure her that it was really fine.

***: KYAAAAA!!!

Kya looked back to where the screaming of her name was coming from and was standing shocked. Lin looked at Kya and at the woman who just screamed and was already walking quickly towards them. She could tell something was off with Kya but didn't question just yet.
The woman was already hugging Kya and Lin did not like it at all.

Kya hugging back: Hello Izumi it's been a long time.
Izumi: Yesss you just disappeared all of a sudden I even called your mom and she said you were off to the big city. How is it?
Kya: The city is treating me well.

Kya grabbed Lin's arm and pulled her closer to herself almost side hugging her. And looked back at Izumi.

Kya: Almost too perfect I may say.
Izumi looking between Kya and Lin with a questioning look.

Kya: I'm sorry, my manners, this is Lin, my girlfriend.

Lin looked at Kya slightly shocked, it was the first time she introduced her to someone as her girlfriend and not "close friend" here Lin definitely understood that something was off between the two women infront of her.

Izumi looked quiet surprised but just went with the flow. She stretched her hand to Lin for a handshake and Lin gently shook hands with her.

Izumi: Hello there, nice to meet you. I'm Izumi, Kya's old friend.
Kya raised her eyebrow and smirked at her introduction but just brushed it off.

Kya: So where are you headed?
Izumi: I was just running some errands here and there, I gotta go get groceries, gotta hurry home, people waiting.
Kya: Well then I wouldn't want to have you running late, pass by sometime would be nice to chat with you. We are here for quite sometime.
Izumi: I'll take you on that offer, definitely will.

With that she walked away from the couple and disappeared into the distance.

Lin looked at Kya with a questioning look which Kya understood immediately.

Kya: She is my ex.
Lin: And you just invited her so easily?
Lin was getting quite irritated with the whole situation.
Kya: Don't be jealous I just know she won't come. She regrets whatever she did back then and for what I left her. It's very obvious at how she was burning you with her looks.
Lin: I noticed that too, I sensed something was off. May I know what happened between you two?
Kya: She cheated....
Kya looked straight and kept walking at a slow pace and holding Lin's arm tight.
Lin stayed quiet not wanting to push further and just held Kya tightly.

Kya: She just cheated and thought I'd never be over her based on how obsessed I was with her.
Lin: I'm glad she did ...

Kya looked at Lin amused with her bold comment at such a moment and shoved her shoulder.

Kya: Liiiin, THATS harsh!
Lin kept laughing and kissed Kya's hand gently.
Lin: I'm just saying, since I'm lucky to have met you.

Finally coming back home, after a long day of being out in the cold fresh air around the snowy town. They both entered the house and noticed it empty. There was a note on the mirror right next to the door. Kya took it and read it aloud.

Kya: We have went away to meet your uncle, wouldn't want to drag you away from Lin since she's our guest. We will all be back in a day or two.

Lin: Sounds intentional
Kya giggled slightly
Kya: Maybe ...

Lin hugged Kya from the back by her waist and placed soft kissed on the back of her neck.

Kya: I see you're already excited by the note.
Lin: Maybe ?
Kya: Why don't we have dinner first? Let me cook you something, so you can have an idea whom you'll be marrying.
Lin laughed at Kya and turned her around so they faced each other.
Lin: I'm afraid it's going to be you who will propose first...
Kya: Is there something wrong with that?
Lin placed her forehead on Kya's
Lin: Nothing wrong but I would like to be the one doing it so be patient
Kya: I can't promise you that but okay.
Kya kissed Lin's nose softly and moved away from Lin walking into the kitchen.

Kya: Go change I'll get things ready here in the kitchen.
