Kya x Lin - Two professors

Lin's and Kya's vacation at the South passed by quickly for them unfortunately. They were so caught up in enjoying themselves together that the days just slipped by until it was time for them to head back home to the city.

Kya, Lin and Bumi were at the door standing with their luggage. Everyone was making sure they didn't forget anything. Kya went upstairs again to her room to check whether she forgot something or maybe Lin did. One last check she closed the door behind her and went back down. Walking back down the stairs she saw her mother hugging Lin. Kya smiled at the view in front of her, she thought to herself that everything is really perfect.

Last goodbyes between Kya, Bumi and Katara. And they were off in Tenzin's car driving back to the airport. Bumi was sitting in front while Lin and Kya together in the backseat. Kya layer down her head on Lin's shoulder and fell asleep during their drive to the airport. Lin stayed quiet while Bumi and Tenzin had their own conversation to which Lin did not pay much attention.

Finally they arrived to the airport, Tenzin parked their car right next to the entrance for departures. They all went out got their bags and headed towards the check in. All was done, tickets printed, now it was time to say goodbye to Tenzin.

Tenzin: It was nice meeting you finally Lin, I hope you enjoyed your stay here at the South. Come back again sometime.
Lin: I assume I'll be doing that more often now.
She looked back at Kya who was standing right next to her and smiled.
Tenzin chuckled and went towards Kya and hugged her.
Tenzin: Take care sister.
He squeezed her in a hug one last time and kissed her cheek.
Kya letting go of him
Kya: You too brother, please take care of mother.
Tenzin: Sure will my duty.

Tenzin and Bumi shared one last short conversation and hugged each other before leaving. Now Lin, Kya and Tenzin were on the plane. On their way back to the city.

Kya was seated next to the window and Lin next to her, while Bumi was seated 3 rows in front of them. Next to Lin was woman calmly reading a book about engines. Kya was asleep on Lin's shoulder again and Lin found herself unintentionally reading the book of her neighbour. The woman noticed that and started a conversation with her.

Woman: It's interesting isn't it?
Lin surprised and slightly embarrassed: Oh.. ummm.. yes it is.. sorry if I have invaded your privacy. I just got caught up reading your book from here.
Lin smiled shyly and looked up at the woman beside her. She was beautiful white fair skin really dark black hair, she was beautiful.
Woman: My name is Asami, and you?
Lin: I'm Lin. Nice to meet you.
Asami: So are you into cars?
Lin: Oh no no I am a professor at an academy back in the city. I teach history. It's just that it was something new for me to read about engines and all.
Asami: Ohh.. that's okay. I can give you this book if you want.
Lin: Oh no no that's okay I guess I'll just get me one back home later when I have the time.
Asami: It's not a big deal I got millions of these books back home, here please take it.
She handed the book to Lin, which Lin hesitated at first. But then she just took the book and placed it on her lap.
Lin: Thank you really appreciate it.
Asami: No problem don't mention it.
Lin: So are you back from a vacation or something?
Asami: No actually I had some business to finish at the South. Can't wait to get back home honestly.
Lin: Well don't want to hurt your feelings or anything but we are actually back from our vacation together.
Asami looked slightly back at Kya who was sleeping on Lin's shoulder and smiled.
Asami: I assume she's your wife?
Lin blushed slightly: Oh no not yet.
She chuckled nervously: she is my girlfriend still but I do hope one day I'll ask her that question.
Lin looked at Kya who was sleeping peacefully or so she thought.
Asami: Well good luck, I'm also kinda waiting for that question from my girlfriend too.
Lin: How long have you been dating?
Asami: Year and a half
Lin: Oh well I don't blame you it's a year, we have started dating just recent.
Asami: Oh I see, but you wanting to ask her to marry you so early means a lot. Shows how true your feelings are.
Lin: Well yes I am in love with this woman.
Lin chuckled slightly.
