Kya x Lin - Two professors

It was a 45 minutes walk to the skating area. They walked through the streets, hand in hand, while Lin was carrying Kya's stuff. Lin didn't mind it at all she felt responsible to do so. Kya being taken care of in such a gentle manner felt amazing.

They reached the frozen lake of the South, and headed towards a small booth where an old man sat there giving out skating boots for rent. Kya approached the booth and slightly shouted.
Kya: Helllooo Uncle Bee.
Old man: Hello Kya, it's been a long time. Are you here on your vacation?
Kya: Yes and I brought a friend too.
Old man looks over to Lin who's waving at him a little bit awkwardly and smiling.
Old man: Why any friend of Kya's is welcome here. Please tell me your shoe size.
Lin: 7 I think
Kya: You think? Lin you must know your shoe size.
Lin just rolled her eyes and said: Whatever.
The old man handed her the boots and both of them walked over to a bench so they could sit and change.

Now they were both ready to go skating but Lin wasn't emotionally ready to embarrass herself by not knowing how to skate. She looked at Kya standing in front of her.
Kya: You look like you've seen a ghost.
Lin: Yeah it just stood up...
Kya rolled her eyes and laughed she grabbed Lin's hand and started to help her to get up and try to stand on those skates.
Kya: You'll be fine don't worry I'm with you the whole way.
Lin: You won't be with me if I fall right on my butt now will you.
Kya: Ofcourse not that's what makes me different you're a beginner and I'm a pro.
Lin scoffed and just followed Kya's lead without saying another word.

They were both now on the ice, Kya holding Lin's both hands and guiding her every step on the ice. Lin was surely making baby steps.
Lin: Are you not afraid that the ice can break at any time?
Lin looking down at her feet and the ice under while doing those baby steps.
Kya: If you are going to think of all the possible ifs you will end up with a heart attack, relax Lin.
Lin just looked up at Kya to be met with a warm smile from her beloved woman.

A couple of minutes into Lin taking baby steps, she was now skating slowly but steadily behind Kya. Kya was mocking her for being slow and encouraging her to try skating faster. Lin was getting confident with every minute soon enough they were both racing across the frozen lake. The lake was very long and wide and there were places where not much people went. Kya was now skating far away from their location towards an isolated part of the lake. Lin noticed that Kya was taking them further than most people went and asked..
Lin: Are you planning to murder me or something I can't see people coming this way.
Kya laughed at her comment.
Kya: Stop being paranoid and trust me, I just want to show you something beautiful.

Couple more minutes of skating further along the frozen lake, Kya slowed down and held Lin's hand and guided her towards a small opening in the ground beside the lake. They approached it but still stood far enough. There was a small opening in the ground where water was flowing like a mini waterfall into the depths of the Earth.

Lin: How did you even find this, its so hidden.
Kya: If you keep quiet and listen to nature you might have heard it before we even approached it.
Lin kept quiet for a while and was amused, indeed it was very loud but those who know how listen carefully to nature would only have heard it, just like Kya said.
Lin: I guess so, its beautiful.
Kya: Yeah ..
Kya was looking towards the view and sighed heavily grabbing Lin's attention.
Lin: Is something wrong?
Kya: No I am just happy that I finally showed this beauty to someone.
Lin: Izumi never saw it?
Kya: Well .. I tried showing her once but it did not work out, she never trusted me taking lead to somewhere this dangerous. I did not mention but it is quiet dangerous here you know.
Lin looked at Kya with wide eyes and laughed.
Kya: What's so funny?
Lin: I just thought that even if I knew it was dangerous I would still follow you.
Kya: Are you saying this to just be better than her?
Lin: No really how can anyone reject you? Even if its the craziest thing in the world.
Kya suddenly threw herself onto Lin and hugged her tightly, Lin barely stood her ground but caught Kya and hugged her equally tightly.
