Kya x Lin - Two professors

Kya was walking downstairs towards the dining hall leaving Lin behind in her bedroom. She entered the dining hall to see her brothers sitting and her mother chatting quietly with each other over something.

Kya: Good morning everyone.
She sat next to her brother Bumi and opposite to her mother at the table.

Katara: Took you long enough to get down here, where is Lin?
Kya: So my mother is now more interested in my friend than me
Kya playfully raised her eyebrow looking at her mother. Katara chuckled slightly and looked over the stairs where Lin was coming down from and heading towards them.
Katara: Aahh here she is, good morning Lin. How did you sleep? I hope Kya didn't bother you much, I know she can be clingy sometimes.
Kya: MOTHER !!??
Lin and Katara started to laugh, while she took her seat beside Kya and greeted her brothers.
Lin: I think I'm in love with your mother now.
Kya elbowed Lin for taking her mother's side, and continued to chit chat all the way through breakfast. Kya noticed that Lin was less tense than yesterday and that she didn't mind those cheesy comments on them being together as a couple.
After a while Kya and Lin finished their breakfast and Kya excused herself before Lin and headed back up to her bedroom while Lin stayed downstairs with her family.

Kya entered her room and started to change her clothes getting ready for the day with Lin, she had a lot planned.

Meanwhile Lin was sitting at the table chatting with Katara.

Katara: So Lin tell me how did you two meet? Kya spoke a lot about you but didn't ever go into much detail.
Lin: Well I transferred to the academy she is in a while ago and we just met there during my meet and greet kinda thing. We did not chat much at the beginning though, we just recently started yknow meeting each other and all.
Katara: It's okay to say that you started dating, I'm not against it and it's pretty obvious too.
Lin: Welll... okay...
Katara: I can see you're a good person maybe too opposite to Kya but yknow opposite always attract each other.

Lin smiled at her statement and felt happy that she was accepted by Kya's mother from the very beginning. Lin got up and offered to help Katara around the kitchen taking away the dishes and all. She finished helping her and excused herself from Katara and the rest. She went upstairs to Kya's bedroom, she entered the room and saw Kya standing infront of the mirror in the bathroom brushing slowly her hair.

Lin walked towards Kya
Kya: Took you long enough there, was my mom asking too much? I'm sorry if that made you somehow uncomfortable, I kno —-

Lin pecked Kya's lips and smiled

Lin: I'm more than comfortable

Kya started blushing at sudden affection from her girlfriend and continued to brush her hair trying to avoid eye contact with Lin.
Lin stood behind Kya watching her every movement through the reflection. Kya was looking occasionally back at Lin and then to her own hair making sure it's brushed well.

Kya: You know I really love that look you always give me when you're too focused on what I'm doing.
Lin: I'm just admiring your beauty.
Kya: I see...
Kya turned around and leaned back on the sink tying her hair up in a loose bun. She then grabbed Lin's shirt and moved her closer to herself. Lin placed her both hands on Kya's waist and stayed close to Kya just observing all of her face features. Kya moved her face closer and brushed slightly her lips on Lin's, she just kept repeating herself and smiling all while looking Lin in the eye. Lin smiling and repeating Kya's movements, it was definitely driving her crazy.

Not moving away from each other Lin broke their silence

Lin: Seducing again?
Kya: You wish, we have a lot to do today.
Lin: I'm all ready for the adventure.

Lin kissed Kya's nose slightly and kept trailing down to her neck and shoulder. Kya kissed Lin behind her ear and whispered.

Kya: I love you ...

Lin stopped whatever she was doing and moved back slightly looking at Kya. She whispered back to her.

Lin: I love you too ...

They kept looking each other in the eye feeling all the love through their comfortable silence. As if they were talking to each other through their eyes.

Kya was the first to broke their silence.

Kya: You should be getting ready or we will be late.
Lin: I am ready I just need to put on my jacket. Where are we heading anyways?
Kya: Firstly, I'll be taking you around the city. So you have an idea where I grew up and what to expect from your future wife.

Lin's eyes widened at Kya's comment, she didn't expect Kya to start talking about marriage too soon, but was pleased to hear it from her. Kya saw Lin's reaction to her comment and hesitated to continue talking any further. Lin held Kya's hand brought it up to her lips and kissed it gently.

Lin: Show me everything, I'm more than happy to learn about you.

Kya's worries were immediately washed away by Lin's gentle gesture of care and love. She got very excited and hugged Lin. 

They were on their way out of the house, Katara bid them goodbye and out they were on their first day at the South.
