Bewafa
L̶o̶s̶e̶r̶Lover
"Badi wafa se nibhaai tumne humari thodi si bewafai"
It was intense, the way the two of them stared into each other's eyes, it was intense. It was too deep to not go amiss, to not get lost.
It was difficult to fathom what they were actually upto, whether they were trying to fall and hold onto the love that had once adored their life or they were desperately searching for the answers of the betrayal that they had received from each other.
It was very scary, the two were ready to kill in love, to die in love because living in love was now impossible.
"Look at you!" Aryan's face was red in anger, his nerves almost bursting in rage. "You brought so much meaning into my life to only break my heart in the end?" He could not believe he saw love in an empty heart. He couldn't realise he had lost something he never had as it hurt him just as bad.
"I could never love a man with no soul." Kaya cruelly lied. Her cheeks were flushed and warm because she was afraid of him, afraid of the gun he had pointed at her seconds ago but she was more afraid of being caught, of him recognizing how shallow and false her words were in a fierce voice.
Aryan made her wish for him too brutally, he made her desire his love crazily, he made her want to forget the world and be only his but only if she could and especially not today which was entirely different, today she feared him because he was no more just the man whom she had found love in but also the very man who was responsible for ruining her life forever, for damaging her for eternity.
Today Aryan was everything she hated in her life, every destroyed happiness, every devastated hope. Today he made her want to run away from him.
It was tragic how we could break our own hearts, it was tragic how they blamed themselves more for falling in love than hating onto each other, it was tragic because neither Kaya nor Aryan could ever be themselves again.
Aryan
If Kaya loved Aryan then Aryan loved Kaya more.
If Kaya could do anything to carve a forever for them then Aryan could do more.
If Kaya had hurt Aryan then Aryan had hurt Kaya more.
If Kaya could do anything to revenge the pain then Aryan could do more.
Kaya
"I didn't need love, I wasn't looking for it, I wasn't even wanting you until it was irresistible to not love you." He was burning in wrath, it was his resentment coming out yet it sounded like a confession love. "You changed my world."
"I'd say for you a thousand times over Kaya and you'd still say no to my love." He repeated what she had told him.
"I would say I could forget and forgive, that I'd choose you over everything, in all lifetimes, in all versions of reality and yet you'd decline my love." He mocked himself, a bitter chuckle escaping his lips and his eyes rolling back.
"You have the audacity to believe that you got the right to forget and forgive me Aryan??" His admission blew her mind away.
"The fault is not in our stars, it's the fault in you Aryan." She spoke freely and fearlessly as her love for him subsided and the miserable memories of the past filled her in.
Love was a sabotaging mistake, and the hope of love a treacherous illusion and the two of them had fallen prey to it. What never was and what ever could be was more to them than anything else.
"I wish I could take us back to the night we met." He gazed into her eyes, embracing her skin. "Though I doubt I wouldn't have fallen for you even when I knew the truth." With each passing second their promise of love was fading, their forever was ending.
"But now Kaya, I'm in love with the impossibility of us, of you and me and our love." He cautioned her of a bigger storm which was yet to come.
