Leah rushed over to the cashier and hurried her items on the cervabelt
"How you doing today ?" the cashier asked
"I'm fine just in a rush" she said getting her card out.
Leah started to pay attention to her surroundings , it was ironic for Kayla to be in the same area she was being that she left kayla in North Carolina with the rest of her things.She can just feel Michael's presents lingering around her but she couldn't spot him out.
"Alright your total is $32.50" the lady said dryly
Leah placed her card in the machine and grabbed her receipt.
"Let's go kiddos" she said basically running towards the entrance.
"Mommy why are we going so fast ?" Jamarcus asked
Michael stood at the entrance and clenched his fist Leah stopped in her tracks and stared at him he motioned his hands for Marcus to go to him.
"No" leah said grabbing Marcus arm.
Michael turned his head and mugged her he started walking towards her. She grabbed Mackenzie and snatched Marcus hand off the cart and ran to the Garden side of Walmart. He chased behind her and ran into a couple people, Mackenzie started crying and Marcus was trying to let go of Leah's hand.
"LEAH" Michael yelled
She can just feel him getting closer she stopped running to look for the exit. "Take Kenzie and go" she said handing him Mackenzie "go to the bathroom and do not leave until you hear your name on the intercom."
Marcus nodded his head and ran off
"Ma'am are you okay ?" A worker asked her
"Our kids ran off, my wife and I were trying to find them" Michael said putting her arm around her shoulder. Leah couldn't talk anymore she stood silent and was praying to God Michael didn't hear what she said to Marcus.
"Oh no what were they wearing ?" the worker asked pulling out her walkie talkie
Leah just stared at the woman and tried not to cry Michael pinched her side and Leah took a deep breathe. "What were they wearing ?" Michael whispered to her.
"H-he was wearing school uniform, white shirt and black pants and she was wearing a jean jacket with black jeans" she said beginning to cry
"Ma'am are you sure you're okay ?" the worker asked reaching out her Leah's arm.
"She just really wants to find our babies" he said pulling her in closer.
The lady looked at Leah and pressed her talk button on her walkie "uh be on the lookout for a little boy and a little girl both black he's wear a uniform white shirt black pants and baby girl is wearing a jean jacket with black jeans" she said letting go of the button.
"Okay" somebody answered on the machine.
"Baby let's check the toy section you know Marcus and Kenzie are always tryna get into them toys" Michael said looking at her
Leah nodded her head and looked at the lady as she walked away the lady pulled out her walkie and started talking into it.
"Where did they go you fucking smart ass ?" he asked snatching her hand.
"I don't know" Leah said thanking God he didn't hear her
"Hey!" he said pulling her into abandoned aisle "If you make a fucking scene I will beat the fuck out of you when we get home do you hear me ?" he asked her whispering and squeezing her hand.
