Chapter Twenty-six

Lucas pulled up to the address and ran inside. "Leah! he yelled "Leah!" he yelled again searching the house. 

"Lucas" Marcus said running out of the room "no" the neighbor yelled pulling him back. 

"Marcus!" he yelled running upstairs "Mackenize!." 

"Lucas!" Marcus said running into his arm. "Mommy is gone dad and her we're fighting I don't know where they went." 

"It's okay bud I'm going to find her, you stay here with your sister I promise I'll be back and so will mommy just stay here." He said before walking away from him.

He ran back to his car and grabbed his gun. "Leah!" he yelled before making sure it was loaded.

Leah ran into Michael's house and ran into his office and hid in the walk-in closet. 

"Why do you make me do these things to you?" he asked walking past his office "I just want to love you baby but you make it so hard," he said searching for her "I don't want to hurt you but you make me, you make me do these things to you," he said walking into the office. 

Leah covered her mouth and let tears fall. She slid further back into the closet and held her stomach. She started praying silently to herself 

"Where the fuck are you!" he yelled making her jump. He opened the closet door and guided the knife on his clothes. "Are you in here baby?" he asked looking through the clothes. Leah closed her eyes and kept her hand over her mouth. Michael grabbed her by her shirt and dragged her out of the closet. She punched his arm as he continued to drag her out of the closet. He dropped the knife and slapped her in her face. She continued to hit him causing him to let her go and pull her up "Stop fucking playing with me!" he yelled in her face. She kicked him in his leg and he dropped her. She got up and attempted to run but he tripped her. 

She fell on her stomach and yelled painfully she held her stomach and groaned "fuck." She said to herself she got up slowly and held her stomach running out of the room. Michael ran behind her pulled her by her hair. "Where the fuck you think you going ?" he asked aggressively before throwing her on the ground. 

Leah groaned and started crawling towards the door. Michael got on top of her and flipped her over he held up the knife and stabbed her in her arm. 

"Michael stop!" she yelled crying trying to protect herself. "My babies" she cried out trying to grab the knife from him. Michael punched her right in her nose she let out an awful scream and started tasting her own blood. He stabbed her again but she held on to the knife. 

Three shots went off. 

Leah laid there and cried her eyes out. She assumed he shot her cause of how much pain she was in and the blood on her hands. 

"Baby, baby, baby," Lucas said rushing over to her "Look at your fucking face!" he yelled

Leah tried to reach out for his arm but couldn't move. She just cried and placed her thumb on her stomach "my baby" she cried out "I think he stabbed my baby" she said still looking at the ceiling. 

The paramedics walked over to Leah and started taking care of her. Lucas looked at Michael "you son of a bitch!" He yelled running towards him.

"Sir!" the officer yelled pulling him away "get him out of here!" she yelled. 

"No, I'm staying with my wife get the fuck off me!" he yelled 

"Lucas" Leah groaned "where are Marcus and Mack?" she asked tearfully 

"She's pregnant," Lucas told the people ignoring her question. 

"Where are my babies!" Leah yelled coughing 

"Ma'am calm down," the ambulance people said listening for the baby's heartbeat. 

"I don't hear anything we gotta go, we need a stretcher," the paramedic said rushing the guy over. Leah laughed and cried at the same time. "She's in shock we gotta go now," the lady said putting Leah on the stretcher. 

'"My kids I gotta get my kids, what hospital is she going to ?" he asked 

"Glenda county," the paramedic said before closing the door. 

Lucas ran to the neighbor's house. "Marcus!" he yelled banging on the door. "Lucas," he said hugging him. "Thank you so much for protecting them," Lucas said handing the lady money and taking Mackenzie from her. 

He handed Mack to Marcus "strap her in" he said getting in the front. 

"Where's mommy?" Marcus asked concerned. 

Lucas ignored him and drove as fast as he could to the hospital. 

"Lucas is mommy okay?" Marcus asked climbing in the front seat."Lucas!" 

"Marcus stop! I have to focus on the road." 

"Where is my mom?" Marcus asked frustrated"you guys never tell me anything! I understand a lot I've seen a lot, where is my mom?" Marcus asked 

"She's on the way to the hospital man," Lucas said tearing up 

"He did it again?" Marcus asked shocked 

Lucas looked at him and rubbed his head, Marcus looked at Lucas and started crying."Is she dead?" he asked covering his ear and closing his eyes. Lucas couldn't answer him he just focused on the road and tried not to cry.
