"Lyra! Get downstairs before I turn off the wifi just so you can get downstairs and touch grass as you call it!" your mom yelled from downstairs.

"Wait, mom! I'm trying to help Clay with his house-building skills!" you yelled back. "Which isn't working," you muttered to yourself, breaking another block Dream set down.

"Tell your brother we all know he wasn't meant to be an engineer. It's been raining all week and finally stopped today. The weather is great! Now get downstairs!"

"Alright! Give me a sec! Bye, bitch. Mom says you're stupid," you said to Dream once you unmuted yourself on discord.

Dream gasped in mock offense. "Mom would never say that. I'm the favorite child. And grandchild."

"You wish. I'm not as loud as you," you scoffed. "And I'm not the monster who uses informal and formal words in the same sentence."

"Shut up."

"No," you said, leaving the vc.

You grabbed the hoodie on the back of your chair and quickly put it on, grabbing your phone as you left your room.

Once outside, you turned on your camera and filmed a small video of you touching grass for TikTok, captioning it "i finally did it! i no longer see a penguin-like pig on the walls anymore! five-star rating".

You walked to the nearby park, enjoying the small breeze uner the warm sun. Best type of weather California could have really.

You closed your eyes, taking in the sounds of wind rustling the trees, birds chirping, geese quacking. Not gonna lie, it was nice. It was like you were at peace, away from the chaos streaming life and family contained.

You got a buzz from your phone, interrupting your thoughts.

You smiled at the response. Sitting down on a bench, you noticed your shoes were untied. As you went to tie your shoe, you saw something on the grass. Upon closer inspection, you realized it was a wallet.

You looked around to see if anyone was around who may have dropped it. No one.

You opened the wallet, finding some cash, a driver's license and a picture of a guy wearing black and white mask and sunglasses. He was wearing a suit holding those Minecraft torches. Was that a crown on top of his head?

You looked at the address stated on the driver's license and noticed it was in the same neighborhood as you. Actually, it should be one of the houses next to you if your memory didn't fail you, which it commonly did.

You walked back home, keeping in mind to look for the address.

Turns out, your room faced the house, which was to the left of your house if you stood facing the front door.

As you walked to the front porch, you rang the doorbell. Half of you wanted to make a run and just drop the wallet on the doormat, while the other half was undecisive.

You heard someone yell, "I'll get it mom!"

The door opened a second later, before you could even make up your mind.

You found yourself needing to look up to see who opened the door. You weren't short, taller than average for your age and most woman in America. And since the boy was nearly a head taller, he had to be over six foot.

"Uh," the boy started awkwardly.

"Oh, right. Is this yours?" you said, unsure. You handed the wallet to the boy.

The boy opened it, seeing the picture on the right side and immediately flushing red. "Yeah. Thank you. Where did you find it? I've spent all of today and last night looking for it."

"The park over there. Under a bench."

"Thanks again," the boy smiled at you, staring you in the eye this time.

He wore no mask since he didn't expect this interaction to happen. He had the same dirty blonde fluffy hair as the boy in the picture in the wallet. So it was probably him. Maybe.

"No problem," you responded with a smile back even though he couldn't see due to the mask you were wearing.

You walked back to your house as the boy closed the door.

You saw a message through Twitter from Ranboo.
