You are...

Who are you?

This is a question we all ask ourselves on a daily basis. The answers often provided by others than ourselves defining who they want us to be. So, we get trapped in who they tell us we are and these so called labels are those answers we conform to because we don't know better... that is until we do or someone shows us that.

I have always believed that I was a spare. I was told ever since I could understand that.. "You are the spare, Emilia. You are a princess. You are... what?"

No. I am not that which you define me as, because you are who you choose to be. And I chose not to be a spare. A pawn. A submissive to power. I choose my answers to that question now and no one else has the right to define me.

You are brave.

You are strong.

You are smart.

You are beautiful.

You are funny.

You are kind.

You are a sister.

You are a daughter.

You are a friend.

You are a lover.

Life is not about who you once were. It's about who you are now, and who you have the potential to be. It is not until you see who you are, when you realize who you are not. Let no one define you, let no one have that power to because you are perfect exactly as you are. With all your flaws, there is no need to change anything about who you are unless you decide to yourself.

You are enough, just as you are.

Stay as you are.

"Hello father!" Emilia answered the phone in the back of the range rover. She was on her way to a group training session in London with Tristan driving in the front seat.

"Hello, darling. How are you this morning?" Her father's deep voice sounded on the other side of the phone.

Emilia sighed, "I am well. Wish I could have gotten a few more hours of sleep before this training session, but I will survive."

"You need your rest, Emilia. It's important that you get your sleep and allow your body to rest when you are putting it through all of this madness." Her father lightly scolded his daughter. "How is your training going? Cliff working you hard?"

"Yes, he is relentless." Emilia released a light chuckle. "But, I think I am ready for the trials next week. Are you heading to the airport this morning? I can't wait to see you dad."

"That is very good to hear, sweetheart." Frederick paused briefly as Emilia could hear him sigh deeply. "Emilia, granny was thoroughly impressed to hear that you had a lovely tea with Princess Anne a few weeks ago and all the engagements you have been doing in London. She has been very proud of you for balancing your training with the royal duties she has asked you to do. But, she wishes you to do one more thing for me."
