Heart Surgery

Currently, you and your boyfriend of 10 years were laying down in your shared bedroom watching movies. Although he's trying to get you to sleep by rubbing your back and singing to you because you have heart surgery tomorrow, because your heart isn't working the way it's supposed to. You really aren't being cooperative, because you don't want to go to sleep for two reasons. 1. Your scared Zach will leave you because of all the issues you have but he's told you multiple times he's not leaving you. 2. Your scared to get the heart surgery.

"cmom love, you need to get sleep, your surgery is at 4am." Zach said

"i don't want to, what if you leave me while I'm sleeping because of all the issues I have? What if the surgery doesn't do good and I die? I'm scared.  I don't want to get the surgery. "You say scared

"babes, I'm not leaving you. All of the stuff you call issues, I call them imperfections that you can't handle. All those things define you. If you didn't have those things you wouldn't be fully you. And I know your scared, I'm scared too but I can promise you that you are not going to die, I believe in you and I know your strong. I know you can do this. "

"please..." you beg

"please what baby?" he asks

"hold me..." Zach immediately brought you into his arms and you started crying while Zach was rubbing your back trying to get you to calm down.

"i promise your gonna be ok. I have my alarm set for 3am so we can get ready then head to the hospital, their gonna take you down and do the surgery and your gonna do amazing, and then your gonna be in a hospital room for a few days to heal a little and I'm gonna be right by your side the whole time, and when where aloud to go home I'm gonna take care of you. Sound good? "

You just nod and Zach holds you tighter and you both eventually fall asleep.

Skip to 3am
Zach just woke up to the alarm, he quickly but quitely got up and put on some sweatpants and a hoodie then he went to the bathroom and put on deaoderant, put on his cologne, put a hat on, and brushed his teeth, he quickly put on his slides and took your guys shared over night bags to his car and he started it to let it warm up since it's in the middle of winter, and he went back into the house and upstairs to wake you up.

He got in your guys shared bedroom and walked over to you and started kissing you face like you cheeks, forehead, lips.

You slowly woke up and saw Zach kneeling down beside you

"its 3 isn't it?" you ask

"mhm, I got up and dressed before waking you up in case you needed help with something."

"thank you."

"no problem. Do you want me to get your clothes? "

You nod

"spandex and my hoodie?"

You nod and he stands up and gets your clothes, while you get up and walk to the bathroom to use the restroom, put deaoderant on, and brush your teeth. After your done with all that you walk out of the bathroom to see Zach sitting on the bed playing his phone while your clothes are folded placed next to Zach on the bed.

Zach heard the bathroom open so he looked up

"hey, your clothes are right here."

You nod and walk over and grab the clothes then go back in the bathroom and get dressed.

After that you and Zach both walk down to the car and he drives to the hospital.

Skip a few hours
Your surgery has been done for an hour or so, you haven't woken up yet but the doctors put you in a hospital room so you could have privacy, so Zach could go in the room and not sit in the waiting room, and because they didn't know how long you would be out.

Zach was in the chair next to your bed holding your hand in his, waiting for you to wake up.

Skip another hour (ik I'm sorry I just couldn't think of anything to put in that time skip)

You had just woken up a few minutes ago, the doctor had just finished checking up on you and  Zach was laying down with you cuddling you but making sure he's being careful around chest/stomach part.

"are you feeling ok?" he asks

"yeah, I'm a little sore but I feel ok, but I am tired."

"you can go to bed. I'll be here when you wake up. "

You nod and lay your head on his chest while he carefully rubs your back

And you slowly let sleep take over you.

Skip a few weeks
You were able to go home a few days ago, and you have been on bed rest since you left the hospital. Zach has been taking care of you ever since you woke up right after your surgery, he helps you get to the living room or the bathroom, he helps you with showering (not in a dirty way), he brings you food and drinks, he cuddles you whenever you want, and you guys have movie nights every night.

After a month or so you fully healed but Zach still takes care of you just like he did before you got surgery.
