Christmas 2021||DDM

I got carried away with this so I'm sorry.

Zach's pov
For the past few weeks y/n has been at jacks house with lavy because me, mom, and Ryan got covid

I couldn't ask my parents to babysit her for that reason, and she couldn't stay here so I figured she would have more fun hanging with another baby then just adults all the time.

Her immune system is very weak, as she's a toddler but also has some medical things so I can't risk her getting covid.

But today, the day before Christmas Eve, my test came back negative, so I'm cleaning the whole house and disinfecting everywhere so I can bring y/n home, just in time for Christmas.

The sad part is mom and Ryan still have it so there still in isolation, so for Christmas we are doing a facetime dinner and actually meeting up for gifts when there covid free

I just got done cleaning the house and getting the kitchen ready as today me and y/n are gonna have a baking day, Where we make anything she wants to make for Christmas basically.

Once I finish I grab my keys, wallet, and phone and walk out the door, getting into my car, and starting my drive to jacks

Skip time
I arrived at jacks house a few minutes ago, and he's just been filling me in with the things that have happened those few weeks and he handed me the drawings y/n drew through those weeks as she's currently asleep in his bed.

"Alright, thank you man. I couldn't thank you enough." Zach said gratefully

"No problem. You know where my room is, and her bags are in lavs closest." Zach nods, and makes his way to jacks room

He sees you in the middle of his bed with pillows surrounding you so you didn't fall

He walks over and gently picks you up, you start moving around and wrapped one arm around his neck and grabbing his shirt with the other, then going back to bed

He took a selfie and captioned it "I can finally take my princess home" and posted it on his Instagram story and put it on his highlight made for you on his account named
"Princess💜"

After that he put his phone back in his front pocket and walked out of the room

"Hey I bought her some Disney apple juices the other day, there in the fridge if you want to take them. She seemed to love having her two favorite things together." jack said

"Would lav want them?"

"No I bought her, her own. Lav wanted marvel and bug (you) wanted disney. I also got them at target "

Zach nods "alright, if lav doesn't want them I'll take them. Thank you man."

Jack nods as a way of saying your welcome, and I walk to the kitchen getting the apple juice

I grab them and walk back to the living room "I forgot to ask, did you finish your Christmas shopping?" jack asked

"I have a few things for y/n that I've bought throughout November, but then i got covid so no. I'll probably go shopping today and bring her with me"

"I can watch her if you want? Lav seems to like having another baby around."

"Yeah, I can do that, thank you. Let me take her home and spend some time with her first, then I'll probably come here around 1pm (it's 9am) " I said

"Ok, no problem."

Eventually I left jacks house and made my way back to our house with y/n still asleep in her car seat

When i got up I picked up y/n and walked inside the house, I took her to her room and layed her down in her crib. I've tried taking the crib away and putting up a toddler bed but the whole week during nap time and night time she fell out of the bed multiple times so I decided to just put the crib back up.

Once I lay her down and cover her up, I turn on her night light and turn on her baby monitor then quietly leave her room.

I walk to the living room and turn on the baby monitor that I keep, and I walk to the kitchen to start making the food I know y/n won't want to help with.

The reason I'm making so much food for a phone call is because it's not just a phone call, where gonna eat a little on call with my family then all the boys are coming over after their family Christmases. It's been a tradition since bug was born, on Christmas the boys come over after their Christmases. They bring onesies sometimes we all match, and sometimes we all just have our own, this year we have our own. They also bring bugs presents and their secret Santa as that's a thing me and the boys have started to do. We just eat, wear onesies, watch Christmas movies, open presents, play board games, and we play with bug and the new toys she got, while also putting together the ones that needed assembled.

I have just finished making the two bowls I know bug wouldn't want to help with, when i hear movement then crying from the baby monitor

I wipe my hands off and then make my way into her room, she sees me and makes grabby hands immediately

I walk over and pick her up, her immediately cuddling into me

"Dada, I missed you" she whimpered into my neck

"I missed you too princess. How about today we hang out and make dessert for Christmas so it's out of the way, then at around 1 you go back to uncle jackys house to play with lavy, then tomorrow we will make the food for Christmas dinner? How does that sound? " I ask

"YA!!" she yells

I kiss her forehead and walk back to the kitchen

"Can I have apple juice please?" I nod and walk to the fridge getting her one of the apple juices

I open it for her and hand it to her "what do you say?" I ask

"Thank you" I nod

You lay your head on his shoulder while drinking the juice, while he's on his phone looking at a recipe he's supposed to make

When your done with your juice he throws it away and gets the stuff out to make sugar cookies.

Skip time until Christmas
On the 23rd I ended up getting all of bugs presents from me and Santa, presents for my parents & siblings, lavs presents, my secret Santa, bugs and lavs stocking stuffers, candy, and some things we needed to finish the desserts and to start the food. We also checked out all the desserts on the 23rd so we didn't have to do alot of cooking on Christmas.

The 24th we made all the food for Christmas dinner, and went shopping for last minute things like a Christmas table cloth, Christmas table decor, all that

The 25th..well that's present time sooo back to the story?

Zach's POV
I wake up hearing y/n crying, so I get up and put a shirt on heading towards her nursery

I see her standing in her crib holding on to the railing, so I walk over and pick her up putting her on my chest

"Hi baby" I say rubbing her back

She just giggles "merry Christmas bub" I say to her

"Merry Christmas" she said in her baby voice pronouncing the words wrong

We ended up going downstairs, and she opened her presents while I took pictures and videos

After awhile we finished the face time Christmas with my family, and the boys came over

Bug opened her presents from them and we all ate and put our onesies one, the rest of the night we played games, played with bug and her new toys, and watched movies.
