it was later that day and clay had left to get some mcdonald's, ava didn't really have an appetite but that didn't stop him.
she decided to get into a discord call with george and sapnap to apologise for being so distant.

she joined a vc and waited for them to join as well,
"hi!" sapnap beamed.
"hello!" the english man spoke.
"hi!" she smiled, trying to be as enthusiastic as possible, "sorry for being so distant recently." she got straight to the point.
"don't worry about it, are you alright?" sapnap asked, he sounded genuine.
"yeah ava, it's no big deal, how are you feeling?"
"i'm alright, i'm guessing clays probably text you both by now." she sighed.
"yeah." the both said in unison. they sounded worried, but like they were trying to hide it.
"look, don't worry about me. it's nothing i haven't dealt with before." she smiled, "and i have clay to keep me in line." she giggled.
"well, you can talk to us anytime. we love you and we would do anything for you" sapnap spoke softly.
"yeah ava, we love you. we are so proud of you!" george agreed.

wow imagine georgenotfound saying i love you, that was definitely something she was going to rub in clays face later.

"thanks guys, it means a lot. i love you both." she took a deep breath, "but i'm tired, so i'm going to go. i just wanted to ensure you guys i'm alright and not missing." she laughed.
"bye, av!" sapnap beamed.
"bye ava!" george smiled.

she left the vc and went to sit on the couch, she decided it would be better than her bed. she realised she should probably let her fans know she was alive and well, well to a certain extent.

ava smiled at all the replies, almost everyone was very understanding and didn't question why she'd gone all of a sudden, she smiled even more when she saw nicks message appear at the top of her screen.

clay told us about how you've been feeling, like i said i love you and i'm so proud of you. you can talk to me at anytime about anything. i know i'm quite far away but i'll fly over to you in a heartbeat if that would make you happier :) call me whenever, even if it's just to sit in silence, i'm here for you.

ava felt normal again for a second, seeing how much he cared really meant a lot to her. they'd spoken everyday since he left until last week, when she just stopped responding. to her surprise he didn't get angry or annoyed, he just wanted to make sure she was okay.
she appreciated everything he said because she knew he meant it.

obviously the feeling of normality didnt last long as she was quickly back to feeling bleh.
clay burst through the door grinning ear to ear,
"i got your favourite!" he beamed placing the bag in front of them and sitting next to her, "a big mac and fries!"
"thank you, c." she smiled.
"dig in!" he exclaimed taking everything out of the bag.

ava tried her best to finish everything he got her, but she couldn't. she ate half her burger and few fries before giving up, she only tried for clay, although she wouldn't admit it as he wanted her to be doing it for herself not him. but her doing full stop no matter who it was for was an improvement.
clay smiled at her as a thank you for trying, not wanting to say anything. he didn't want her to think he was babying her. he just wanted to make sure she was taking care of herself enough.

they chatted for a little bit before ava really couldn't stay up any longer and went back to bed. she and clay were both proud of her for even getting out of bed.
clay stayed in the living room doing bits and bobs while ava took a nap. she was exhausted, mentally and physically, she felt slightly better after talking to everyone but no where near next to fine. that would
take a little longer. it was a waiting game.
