My eyes fly open and I immediately feel a sharp pain flood through my torso.

I groan in pain and the head that was resting on my arm shoots up.

I kick my feet over the edge of the cot, ignoring the pain.

Voices immediately rush to tell me to lay back down but I ignore them. I could see Clarke watching me intently from the corner of the tent and I tilt my head at her.

"What's wrong Clarke" I ask lowly, already knowing something was off.

"You've been out for two weeks, lay down" Octavia demands but I wave her off.

Clarke meets my eyes and I watch her carefully.

"Anyas dead" she states coldly, like she didn't want it to be true.

I could feel my heart freeze and my brain goes numb.

"Oh...." I whisper quietly, my eyes welling with tears but I force them back.

Why do I still feel for the woman that accused me of being a monster?

"Amara....." Octavia starts and I avoid her concerned gaze.

"She's dead. It's whatever. I'm used to it" I state evenly.

Her shoulder sag in defeat and I try and stand up.

She rushes to help me and I shoo her away.

I hold myself up and the blonde makes her way towards me.

"Don't rip your stitches" she demands and I roll my eyes.

I grab all my weapons, throwing on my armor with some trouble.

I stumble out of the tent and squint because of the sunlight.

"God, it's so bright" I groan, shielding my eyes.

I look around only to see I'm not at a grounder village or the pod they originally came down in.

Kids watch me with admiration when they see my duel swords.

I could see two large grounder men outside of the gates and I turn to Clarke.

"They want you and Finn. Commanders orders" the blonde answers my thoughts and I raise a brow.

"I thought Anya was dead" I state.

"She is" Clarke declares back and realization spreads across my face quickly.

"Lexa" I nod to her and she nods back.

I turn towards the two men.

I walk towards the gate and motion for the new sky people to open it.

"You can have me" I state, holding out my hands.

Octavia sprints in front of me before they can grab me.

"What are you doing" she demands angrily.

"I'm going. Lexa won't hurt me" I tell her honestly and she hesitates.

"O, you're my best friend. I wouldn't leave you so soon" I grin but she frowns.

"But you almost did" she cries out, tears pooling in her eyes and I panic.

I pull her into my arms and she secured hers around my neck.

She holds me tightly before she pulls away and looks at me.

"I love you, Amara" she smiles sadly at me and I smile back.

"I love you too, O" I whisper before I turn towards the men.

One of them helps me into their horse and he rides off.

It doesn't take long to reach the makeshift camp trikru had set up.

I'm helped off of the horse and I'm taken to lexas tent.

"Shadow" she states when she sees me, a smirk playing on her lips as she twirls a dagger.

"Commander" I mock.

She tries not to smile and I wonder why.

We were never close.

"What do you want with me" I ask sternly and she meets my eyes.

"I want you to be mine" she begins to realize what just came out of her mouth and I raise an eyebrow.

"I uh, I mean, I want you to be my warrior. My main guard, if you will" she stutters another answer and I grin at her nervousness.

"Sure, Heda" I mock and she tries to get out a response but I'm already making my way out of the tent.
