Clarke's mother inserts the needle slowly and I release a shaky breath, glaring at the brunette.

"You think you could go any slower" I groan and the older woman rolls her eyes.

"See Clarke, I told you they're ungrateful" the woman spits, continuing to stitch me up.

"Nope, that's just me" I grin sarcastically at the woman and she releases a sharp breath.

"You better watch yourself, I'm the one with the needle" the brunette growls out in frustration and I smirk.

Lexa glares down at me and I roll my eyes before I stop fooling around.

"You're no fun" I tell the commander and it's her turn to roll her eyes.

"It's my duty as-" I cut her off.

"It's my duty as commander, my ass. You really need to lighten up a bit. Ease some of that tension" I wink at her after that last bit and she glares down at me but her cheeks become tinted with a shade of pink.

"You're done" Abby states emotionlessly and I grin.

"Bye-bye, grumpy" I wave and she lunges at me but Clarke holds her back.

I'm given back my armor and Lexa grabs it before I can.

"Your tank top will do for now. No armor until your stitches are out. That means no fighting or training" she states and my face falls.

She can't do that.

"You can't do that" I whine and she raises a brow.

"Watch me"

I let out a dramatic sigh.

"Take her to my tent. Get her food and water. I want her wound cleaned every three hours" the brunette demands of her closest guards and a large man picks me up.

"This is to far" I groan, trying to get out of his arms.

"It's not to far. It's for your own safety" Lexa explains and I roll my eyes.

"Keep rolling your eyes and they'll get stuck there" she smirks and I glare at her.

"Keep that stick shoved up your ass and you'll bleed" I smile sarcastically.

"That's not how you speak to your Commander" the man holding me growls lowly and I laugh.

"That's not how you speak to your Commander" I mock and he releases an angry sigh.

"I'm big and scary. Rawwwwrrrrr" I tease and he shakes his head, looking at Lexa.

"Keep this up and I won't let you fight in the war at all. Healed or not" Lexa states and I freeze.

"You wouldn't dare" I gasp.

"Oh but I would" she smirks in victory when I stop teasing him and he walks me to her tent.

He carries me to the bed and I tilt my head at him.

He leaves for a moment and comes back with a cup of water and a plate of food.

He gives them to me and I thank him.

He leaves, probably waiting outside of the tent and I eat slowly. I wasn't very hungry.

I didn't know how the boy and his mother was doing.

It was unsettling.

After eating, I lay down on the soft fur, pulling the wool blanket over me and my eyes close, the exhaustion of my wounds taking over.

I wake up and begin to freak out.

Where am I.

I could feel arms slither around me and pull me towards them and I freeze. I look down and see Lexa holding onto my tightly.

I relax slightly, knowing it was only her and my eyes close again.

"Good morning, Amara" she groans in her morning voice.

Let me tell you......

It was magnificent.

"Morning, Lexa" I reply before she gets up.

She gets ready and I'm almost back asleep when she shakes my shoulder.

"You need to stay awake" she demands and I frown. I was still tired.

I stand up, resting against the table.

My eyes travel up and down her body, studying her frame intently.

"You look good today, Commander" I grin and she tries to hide a smile.

"Thank you, Amara" she blushes, hanging her head down.

"You totally have a thing for me, it's almost cute" I smile sweetly.

"You think I'm cute" she lifts her head up, hope in her eyes.

"I said almost"
