pretending Madison is horrible but in reality her and jack are adorable

we got home from magcon yesterday and so far I've spent the entire day watching 90210 on Netflix. I'm supposed to meet gilinsky's friend madison beer today. I've seen her on Instagram and she makes me want to stab myself in the eye with a rusty spoon. if we're being real here I think she's a slut. gilinsky thinks she's cool though. taylor is in town too for a few days so we're all going out for dinner with alice and Johnson.

I've waited until the last minute to get ready for this night of "fun". I end up throwing on a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up, sleeveless cardigan thing, blue jean shorts, and black ankle boots. I put my hair in a side braid and then I'm ready. I get a text from gilinsky when I'm walking downstairs to get a bottle of water.

gilinsky: you ready?

rose: yeah

gilinsky: be there in a sec!

rose: k

I hear the doorbell ring a minute later but caleb beats me to the door.

"gilinsky, it's been a while!" he says with mock excitement.

"we'll be back around 11" I say trying to help out a very nervous looking gilinsky.

"have fun sis" caleb says knowing my hatred for madison.

"you look great" gilinsky says kissing my forehead.

"thanks babe" I say getting in the car.

alice and Johnson are already in the back. I'm up front with gilinsky so I decide to turn on the radio. a nick jonas song comes on and we all start singing along. in the middle of it I get a text from taylor.

taylor: are you excited to meet madison?

rose: hell no

taylor: worried she might steal gilinsky?😂

rose: well she is a slut...

taylor: 😂

we arrive at a random Italian restaurant and are met by taylor and madison who got here a couple minutes ago.

"it's been way too long jack!" madison says completely ignoring everyone else and hugging gilinsky.

"yeah I know" he says.

we wak into the restaurant and she still hasn't said a word to me.

"oh wait rose hey! I guess I mistook you for a fan my bad" she laughs with a smug look on her face.

"funny" I reply rolling my eyes.

taylor and alice laugh at me but honestly I'm trying my hardest not to slap her. when we're seated Johnson sits on gilinsky's left. I'm about to sit on the other side but madison beats me to it.

"oh I'm sorry we're you going to sit here?" she asks.

"nope I wanted to sit by taylor and catch up" I smile.

"smooth" taylor says when I sit down.

"let's just say we're lucky I haven't beat the shit out of her yet" I say.

I see alice trying to mouth something to me but I can't understand her. about a minute or two later I get a text from her.

alice: so when are you and madison getting best friend necklaces?☺️

rose: it'll be a cold day in hell.

the waiter comes to take our drink orders and then he goes back in the kitchen.
