"you're not mad anymore?" gilinsky asks when I pull away.
"if anything like this ever happens again we're over for good, I refuse to be that couple that is always breaking every five seconds, that's why nash and I didn't get back together" I explain.
"I never want to lose you" he says grabbing my hand.
"don't do stupid stuff" I say nonchalantly.
he kisses me on the cheek and I'm instantly ten times happier.
"could we go home?" I ask tiredly.
"of course" he says backing out.
we get back to my house and I remember I'm going to be the only one here for a while.
"thanks for forgiving me" jack says when he walks me to my doorstep.
"like I said don't do anything stupid" I say.
"you're something else you know that?" he says chuckling.
"whatever loser" I say shaking my head.
"good night babe" he says kissing me on my cheek.
"good night" I say.
I open my door and walk in. I go up to my room and see that gilinsky still hasn't left. I open the window and call out to him.
"what are you waiting for?" I ask laughing.
"I wanted to make sure you're safe" he says.
"protective much?" I ask shaking my head.
"got to protect my girl" he says smiling.
"go home loser" I laugh.
he shakes his head but walks home. I hop in the shower and then throw on leggings and a big t shirt. I lay in bed and before I fall asleep I get a text from jack.
gilinsky: thank you so much for taking me back and believing me I'm just so lucky to have you and you're going to think I'm a cheese ball for saying all this but idk I'm just so thankful to have you
rose: you are a bit of a cheese ball but you're my cheese ball and we sound like middle schoolers right now
gilinsky: you're too cute to be a middle schooler
rose: go to bed loser
gilinsky: good night;)

I fall asleep with a smile on my face.

the next morning I wake up to my phone ringing. I see four mixed calls from alice's parents and a current call from johnson. I pick up and immediately I know something isn't right.
"get to the hospital right now" he says.
"what's wrong?" I ask worried.
"alice is in the hospital" he says frantically.
"what? why?" I ask panicking.
"I don't know the full story but just hurry and get to the hospital gilinsky and I are on our way right now" he says shakily.
"I'm on my way" i say before hanging up.
i throw my hair in a bun and grab my phone and purse. I run downstairs and see caleb is already down there.
"come on we have to get to the hospital" I say throwing him his keys.
"why?" he asks standing up.
