"Fuck fuck fuck...." I whispered under my breath as I paced back and forth, waiting for Dabi to wake up. "He's going to kill me when we wakes up..." I paused in my pacing to look over at him, he actually didn't look half bad when he was peacefully sleeping. I shake my head a bit before going back to pacing. Luckily everyone else was out like a light since it was the middle of the night so I didn't have to worry about all of the questions as to why I just did that. There was no telling just how long he would be out for either which made things even worse.
I was still pacing around an hour later and he still hasn't woken up. I was too lost in my own head that I didn't notice when Dabi twitched and shifted. I was too busy muttering under my breath about the repercussions of what I had just done. That is until I was slammed against the closest wall with a hand tightly around my throat.
"Heh, come on now Patches." I choke out, grabbing his hand with both of mine in an attempt to pry his hand off. He glared down at me, his other hand resting against the side of his head.
"The fuck was that about Princess?" His grip tightened before it loosened just a hair as he dropped his head. "What the hell did you do? My head is killing me." A deep growl rumbled in his chest that honestly sent a shiver up my spine.
"... Dabi?" I said carefully after a few minutes of silence and his gaze snapped back up at me so quickly I'm surprised it didn't give him whiplash. Those bright blue hues bore into me, a look of sheer confusion on his face as if he was trying to figure me out. "Toya?" I asked slowly, watching his reaction. Anger, fear, realization then back to confusion. All of those emotions flashed across his face in a matter of seconds. He opened his mouth like he was going to say something else before closing it again, his grip around my throat loosening even more. "Can you say something? Anything? Threaten to kill me again for all I care. Just something!" He didn't though. He didn't say a word as his hand left my throat and moved to rest against my cheek. Warmth, that was all I really felt at the moment, the warmth from his hand. I wasn't scared anymore, I should have been though. All honesty I should have been terrified of this guy in front of me. This guy that had no qualms about killing people, who has killed over a dozen people. This guy who was part of the group who attacked my classmates relentlessly.
"You fucking bitch..." He finally said and I blinked. I didn't realize how close he had gotten until he was mere inches away.
"W-what?" His choice of words as well as how close he was caused my cheeks to flare. He didn't elaborate more on what he meant. Instead he roughly slammed his lips against mine, causing me to squeak a bit in surprise. It was the exact opposite of when Keigo kissed me before I left. There was at least a semblance of softness to it.
"Just who do you think you are to block out my memories without my permission... And the good ones at that." He demanded and my breath hitched in my throat. Toya wasn't dead like I thought. He was still alive, not exactly the same but alive none the less. No matter how hard I tried to blink them away, I still felt the sting of the tears building in my eyes.
"You're alive.... Fucking hell you're alive." There was a light sizzle as one of the tears rolled down my cheek and hit his hand which caused a look of surprise to cross Toya's face.
"You're crying?" Once it fully set in that this was actually Toya, I didn't give it a second thought as I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him as close as possible into a hug.
"You have no idea how fucking happy I am that you're alive Toya. I was so upset when I thought that you might have died thinking there was no one who cared about you."
"Speaking of which... What the hell. Why would you do that to begin with?" He asked, moving back a bit to look at me. There was a slight shuffling sound from someone repositioning in their sleep. Without saying anything else, I grabbed his hand and pulled him outside of the building. Once out there I jumped up and grabbed a hold of one of the tree branches, using it to climb up to the roof. "You know you shouldn't do all of that in a skirt right..." Toya says, shaking his head a bit before following.
