It was done... My mission was complete, but at what cost exactly? Toya told the world who he was, what Enji has done and outed the things that Hawks did. Twice was dead... Hawks killed him in cold blood as he tried to run away. The entire Todoroki family's memories unlocked now. Toga was hurt and I couldn't help. Even though they were villains... they were my friends. They didn't judge me for who my parents were like the heroes did. They didn't care who I was. Not like it really mattered now anyway. The hero society has crumbled. No one has any faith in the heroes any more.

I was stuck at the hospital with multiple broken bones from that last fight. About six broken ribs, my left leg was totally shattered and my collarbone was broken. I was also covered in an array of burns and stab wounds. Izuku was still in a coma a few rooms down from me and multiple heroes were dead now. Auntie Midnight.... So much went wrong and I didn't know anything about it. I had no idea what they were planning despite having been right there the entire time. I couldn't do anything to stop it. I couldn't do anything at all. I shifted in the bed slightly so I could sit up, resting my head in my hands. All I've done since coming back to the real world was cry. Cry for the people I lost, the things I couldn't change. There was so much I didn't understand about what had happened. My right knee curled up despite the pain it caused and I wrapped my arms around my leg, resting my head on it. I wanted to scream, but I couldn't. Nothing came out, just silent air. I wanted to scream at the Commission, scream at my father for agreeing to let me go in the first place, scream at Tomura for the shit that he caused. I just wanted to scream in general.

"Melody Yamada, daughter of the notorious villain Songbird and the pro hero Present Mic, who was also a part of the League of Villains as well as the UA traitor is also in stable condition. Her fate is still to be decided." The news station playing on the TV says and I sighed, shaking my head a bit. All of them have been saying the same thing over and over again. Calling me a traitor and that I needed to be locked away in Tartarus with my mother.

"Pretty Songbird Mel?" I hear and my head jerked upwards, the sudden movement causing me to hiss in pain as my breath caught in my throat. There was only one person who ever called me that and it's been a long time since I heard it. I sniffled slightly, wiping the tears that fell onto my cheeks before turning to look at my doorway.

"Shoto..." He gave a half smile before stepping farther into the room, stopping at the side of my bed. "Shoto, I'm so sorry for the memory thing. I had to do it. I had to do it for Toya." He silently sat on the side of my bed, making sure not to hit my leg. He looked like he wanted to say something, but he wasn't quite sure how to say it.

"When you walked into class that first day at UA, you looked familiar but I couldn't figure out why. I could tell you recognized me as well, but had to play it off like you didn't. Your songs sounded familiar... Everything about you was familiar and I simply couldn't figure out why that was. I saw the photo of you and Toya and assumed that's why you seemed familiar, but you kept lying about it. Then that broadcast came out, you were helping the league. It didn't seem quite right. When I woke up after being hit with your quirk, all of those memories of you hanging out with my brother came back. All those times you stood up to my father because you didn't like what he was doing. The times you would come over and help mom cook, spend time with Fuyumi... All of it. Then you were just gone one day, never came back around. Granted none of us remembered you then. I think I was the farthest away from you when you did use your quirk that night, because even though I couldn't remember you I still felt like something was missing..." I stayed silent as he spoke, this was the most I think he's said in one sitting after all. "Thank you... for being there when we were all kids. Its a shame that whatever happened to make you leave happened. If you had stayed around, maybe things would have been different... For all of us." I quickly wiped the tears that had fallen again.
