The universe sent me here with a task
She told me to love you with all I've got
Though I've been doing it like she asked
It hurts so fucking much
At first I thought this mission was easy
But like everything in this world there comes a twist
Loving you is the easy part of the journey
But the real task was seeing if I could love you while I hurt
Could I love you while you adore someone else
And I sit here with a throbbing heart
I guess the universe thinks I can do it
That's why she picked me amongst the crowd
But I question why it has to be me
When you won't ever love me back
It also seems as if you don't need my love
And it's just being thrown in the trash
Either way the universe sent me here with a task
