CHAPTER 39

Tzuyu's POV

I am here at the Grocery store, to buy foods for the squad because some of us were pulling up an all-nighter for some updates.

I am now in the fruits section to buy Strawberries for Chaeyoung unnie and Bananas for Harin, when someone called my name.

"Tzuyu-ah!" I looked around and saw Ms. Bae, Nayeon's mom.

I suddenly feel so nervous, but I flashed a smile at her. My heart is banging into my ribcage, and my hands were sweating.

"Hi Mrs. Bae! Good to see you." I greeted and hug her.

"Nice to see you too, Tzu. By the way, I heard that Nayeon is at your house. Is she doing fine?" Mrs. Bae asked.

I felt tensed, upon hearing those statement. How should I say that her lovely daughter has been kidnapped for a week, and we're doing our best to rescue her along with Jeongyeon unnie.

"Oh..uh.. About Nayeon unnie, She's.. doing fine. Yeah she's doing fine." I lied.

"Oh, that's good to hear. Are you guys doing something, like projects or stuff? I'm quite worried about her because she hasn't returned yet." Nayeon's mom said, while picking some fruits.

I swear to God, I dunno how to lie. I don't know what to say, because heck, should I just say that her daughter's life is at risk.

"We're uh...practicing for the upcoming intrams.." I lied for the second time.

"Oh, I see. But is it necessary for her to stay there?" Mrs. Bae asked again, and it makes me go crazy.

I am silently praying for someone to save me, from this kind of interrogation. Good thing that Jieun unnie arrives.

"Hi auntie! Long time no see!" Jieun unnie greeted.

"Omo! Hi Jieun-ah! You're so beautiful these days! How are you?" Mrs. Bae exclaimed.

I sigh in relief, when Jieun unnie arrives, because I dunno what to reason out.

Unnie signalled me to go, so I did. I bid goodbye to Mrs. Bae, and I scram away. I bought the things we need, and payed for them at the cashier. Once I'm done, I went out of the establishment. Suddenly my phone buzzed, and I pull it out to saw a message from Jieun unnie.

From:IU unnie💜[received 9:45]
Hey, wait for me at the parking. Let's go home together. 😊

To:IU unnie💜[sent 9:46]
Okay! See you there unnie.

I shoved my phone back to my pocket, and go to the parking.

"Hey!" unnie greeted, and waved her hand.

"Thank God. What took you so long?" I asked, smiling.

IU unnie raised her eyebrows to me, and I smile sheepishly.

"Just thank me, for saving your ass while talking to my auntie." She retorts, and I rolled my eyes playfully.

Unnie put her groceries at the compartment, together with mine. After that, we hopped in inside, and went home.

While on the road, we're talking about the plans that we have came up.

"Jungkook says that Eunwoo's taking care of them, though Nayeon unnie's facing a huge danger." I said, looking outside the window.

"And what is that, may I ask?" Unnie replied, while focusing on the road.

"Eunwoo happens to heard the conversation, between Somi and one of her henchmen. Based on him, Somi suggested that, her henchmen should rape Nayeon unnie, because she is still a virgin."
